First Person Interaction with objects.

Sorry if this was already posted.

I hope that they added a feature that will allow your character to "see" themself in the first person view, such as feet and torso. For example, look at Far Cry 2.

I remember when this question was asked when Oblivion came out and at the time it did not seem like a big deal. Now after playing it in other games, it definitely adds immersion.

In addition, I would like to see more interaction with containers and doors. You should be able to see the the character's hands interacting and opening containers or doors. Again, look at Far Cry 2, you can see the character repairing a vehicle, or healing themself, etc.

For an Elders Scrolls game, being able to see armor or enchanments on self would be significant. After all, the Elder Scrolls series has done the best job of focusing on the story from the Character's perspective.

What do all of you think?

I could also see this being a bad thing. Do you mean like if you open a door, you see your arm reach out and open it? What if your too far? That either means they shorten the activate distances to arm length (which is like half what they are in Fo3/NV/OB) or you slide over to within length. I think this would kill the flow of the game and could be a very bad thing. It really depends on how they do it. I'm fine without it.

I never felt it "killed the flow of the game" to take half a second to walk closer to the door so I dont feel like Im telaporting into a house from mid way across the street.

Also seeing my guy pick up items in the world would be nice(not looted items but picking things up) adding a throw option would be nice. So if im unarmed or just have my sword put away I can pick things up and when I do the attack button would turn into hit and the other attack button would be used to throw. Both would be used to block like in dual wielding. That would be nice because it could add something to hand to hand fights. Being able to use enviromental items such as say a chair as a inproved weapon would be cool It would also add to the hand to hand depth as I think it would be something to go along with leveling up the H2H skill.

EDIT: the pick up botton could be turned into a place botton when you pick something up allowing for easy organizing.

I'm all for seeing your body mirror's edge style, but opening chests with an animation? no thanks

you loot so much in this game, if you had to sit through a 2-3 second animation every time, it'd get old fast

Would be very nice if they add this,or at least if we have the means to mod it in,just like in Mirror's Edge,Dark Messiah, its nothing too obstructive to see glimpses of your torso or legs while running, jumping and all that stuff in first person.

I took a look at Mirror's Edge, and that is exactly what I hope for in Skyrim. Just think of all the armor and robes in first person.
