Firstly, I will be playing this in a Dead is Dead fashion, so, no quicksaving, no reloading, you get the idea. I'll also be making sure I have a decent amount of food each day, and finally, I'll be trying to get my character a reasonable amount of sleep each day. Without further adieu, the first log entry.
Note: Minors spoilers of the start of the game ahead, I suppose.
16th Last Seed, South Wall Cornerclub.
It's been an eventful day since I was released here on Morrowind, and in interest of history keeping, I'd like to write down my travels in this strange land, under these. . .strange circumstances. I am Kel'ralie, Argonian, warrior, and part time soupmaster. I was imprisoned under false charges of theft, and sent here to morrowind to do the emperors bidding. When I was released, I filled out my identification forms, and, on the way out, in one of the barrels, found a strange enchanted ring. As I approached the first man outside however, he said that he had been robbed of such a ring, so I returned it to him. At his request I went to the tradehouse nearby, and bought myself a nice halberd to stave away anyone who might think to rob me, as well as a bit of the local drink, Mazte.
As I headed outside I could see a mudcrab sitting in the distance, and decided now was as good a time as any to sharpen my skills again. Off I went to slay it. After it was dead (and it's meat removed) I notice a body of a man near a few other creatures. A Kwama forager attacked me, but it went down fairly easy. I learned from the mans papers he was a tax collector, and hurried into town (after stripping his corpse, of course) to report it. The guard told me to speak with the man in the excise office, so I did.
The man asked if I had found any coin on the body. I had, and returned all 200 drakes of it. He then informed me that there was a reward for whoever caught the killer (Though I assumed that it was the surrounding animals that had killed him) of 500 drakes. I looked again at the tax record, and the first man who had not payed their taxes was Fargoth, the elf who I returned the ring to. After questioning, he pointed me toward the woman in a lighthouse who supposedly was friends with the taxman.
Upon asking her about his death, she informed me that a mister Glinith had argued with our victim, so to the mans house I went. After asking him if he knew about the death, he openly admited to the murder, and said the taxman was a fiend who flaunted his wealth. While I believed him, it was no excuse for murder, and when I explained this to him, he attacked me. . .With his fists. He quickly fell to the blade of my Halberd, and I took his coin and his clothes. I was given the reward for the execution of the man, and I decided I'd best be on my way.
It was only then that I realized I had been given a task and a package. ((No joke, I didn't pay any attention. ;D)) Upon reading the instructions I realized I was to deliver the package to Caius Cosades, apperantly an agent of the emperor. I hurried down the road to what I belived to be Balmora, again paying no mind to my surroundings and not noticing a sign that blatantly said I was going the wrong way. A short way down tha path I heard a horrified screaming of what sounded like a man falling from the sky. Sure enough, a man fell from the sky. He was very clearly dead, and upon reading his journal, I discovered that he had some scrolls that where meant to make him jump across the world. I looted them (and his fine robes and fur hat) and headed back into town.
I decided to sell his robes and the scrolls, not wanting to share his fate, but I kept the warm hat, and bought myself an expensive skirt, as well as a mortar and pestle to make myself some potions. I then realized that, technically, the home of the man I had killed was now mine, so in I went and snatched everything. With the Scuttle and Saltrice I found, I made myself a fine Saltrice and Scuttle Soup. A delicacy by any standards.
I then finally decided to head out of town again, and, realizing I had no idea where Balmora was, went to ask the man who'd given me my task. He informed me I could simply talk the Silt Strider outside, and so I did. In Balmora I was to search for the South Wall Cornerclub (where I now sit writing) and ask for Mister Cosades. Instead, I managed to find his house first, and delivered the package. He asked me if I was ready to follow his orders, and I jokingly said "No," He seemed upset and told me to leaveand come back when I was ready to follow orders. I don't care to do more of the emperors bidding, so I left. After some searching, I found the cornerclub, rented a room, and here I am now. Tommorow, I will head to the fighters guild to see if I could join them. I will now retire, and have some of my soup.
I would have embedded a couple of pictures, but it doesn't allow me to. Feedback, comments, or anything of the sort would be great. Feel free to tell me how great I'm doing, or, more likely, how terrible I'm doing.
