First shot cancelled when cloaked?

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:26 pm

Maybe it's just me, but whenever I am cloaked the first shot I fire doesn't do any damage at all. Is this correct?

Is there some way around it? It's frustrating in hectic situations when people spot you while being cloaked that the first shot doesn't seem to register, which often means your death when in close combat.

I mean I loose all my suit energy when firing with cloaked active. I feel that the shot should at least register and do full damage to even that significant energy loss. It's frustrating that with this issues you need three melees to down an enemy in certain situations. Or he turns around and shoots you because the first melee didn't do anything at all.

Any clues?

Wait half a second after you deactivate cloak mode that's it. If you use Stealth Enhance than you don't even have to "wait" that long. Btw it's not that the bullet doesn't register but it goes off course when you shoot in stealth mode.

noob.
Classy, thanks.

And the logic being what? Does it magically disappear into a wormhole?

Thanks for your input. I'm kind of curious here if this a gameplay bug or a feature for "balancing reasons"? But then again when it comes to balancing loosing all your suit energy is kind of enough on these small maps. Like I said, a bullet disappearing magically doesn't really make sense to me that's why I posted this thread.

no it doesn't get completely cancelled....

basically if you shoot Marshall at someone while you're cloaked YOU WILL HIT THEM! However you won't OHK them so you have to melle them and the melle will kill in 1 shot - thats how i know its not cancelled...

but like Sniper - AR - SMG's all get cancelled...

and if you shoot while cloaked means you are noob please switch to armour before shooting ^^

The logic is to stop people from doing stupid **** like sniping from cloak.

On the other hand if you're right on top of your enemy its far more likely to hit.
