My first thoughts when examining...

Post » Thu Oct 15, 2009 3:07 pm

What jumped out at me when looking at the large wall mural from the trailer was the presence of the three warriors behind the Dovahkiin.

Is Bethesda hinting at a 4-player co-op mechanic?

Having a drop in/out mechanic for three of your friends would be cool, but would it destroy what makes The Elder Scrolls what it is? Is it time for TES to relent and let us bring a friend along in our quests? Is any of this even possible?

Discuss! Unless this thread is redundant, in which case I'm sure a friendly moderator will take care of it.

My eyes no.

and no hostilities, but do not fall into the pit trend that is this flurry pointless array of polls mounting the top of every thread (someone gave a statistic stating thread polls now take up 25% of all threads in this section).

What I do see is.....a woman, cradling something, she has a tail I think >_> to the left of the trailer (freeze it when most come into view)

and aren't those warrior holding up the Mural? or are those behind the warriors in the foreground.

My apologies, I didn't think the poll would irritate anyone. I'd rather have discussion than poll answers anyway.

I'm looking at the mural right now, examining it.

I would love to see four player coop only if the three other players were not part of the story at all.

As in, load up your character to someone's game, or vice versa, but have nothing in the game that makes the extra players any more special than an NPC.

No. I personally think BGS should focus on making TES V the ultimate single-player RPG experience.

What if you could not advance the story while another player was connected? You and your friends could still romp around Skyrim, but not affect the story.

OR

There could be a separate campaign specifically designed for multiple players. Perhaps even just small little side quests scattered around the region.

I wouldn't mind it, have separate saves and scaling. Neverwinter Nights (1) is a prime example of RPG coop as far as quests, rewards, difficulty, and character handling are concerned.

lol that would be scary, but save for console users. there really isnt an effective and integrated method to seamlessly include additional players from across the net in Co-op profession.....BUT we know -NOTHING- of Skyrims game mechanics, so literally anything (REASONABLE) could be present within the game, only time will tell really.

but for my Part, I'd rather not. Some games are really just better without a mate. I see why some people like the allure of additional players/MMO, but the TES series have been about the Player, not the Players. and Im my opinion I hope it stays that way.

This,
IMO co-op wouldn't work very well in a TES game.
