First timer in Morrowind ... which mods to get?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:30 am

Hey guys, so i just bought Morrowind GOTY edition :D.
I always loved watching my bro playing it on the xbox when it first came out but never had the opportunity to play it.
So Im pretty much in diapers when it comes to this game mods ... So, which PC mods would you recommend??
Im looking for graphics improvements, maybe characters improvements too, pretty much everything that makes the game better looking
I'm not looking for quests or armor add ons, just visual mods.

i know there are ton of sites with mods, but i just dont know which are the ones worth downloading...

Thanks!

The ones that you think look fun/cool are the ones you should try. It's all up to you, because it's your game.

ever get tired of posting that?

for another game i was the forum's "unofficial" official tech support, and i had to do the same thing very often. twas sometimes too much to bear and i had to drop a snide comment about reading stickies (which, without the snideness, was all you could really expect from the official techs)

so yea, ever wonder why people studiously ignore stickies?

(also, i intend no heat to the OP, just discussing volunteer tech support complaints)

Barring ones that added modern elements to my game (corvettes, modern clothing, the sound of duck quacking feet, etc.), I snagged nearly as many as I can find, and store them all on my external drive. Even if they conflict, or do not get used, it is great just for the sake of the time the modders put into them to keep them in a perpetuity archive if you will. Some have even left the modding community, or sadder still, passed on.

If he does, I'll post it. :P

It's still the best place to start I think.

oh i dont disagree. old habits die hard, if you both miss it, i'll likely end up posting the link

i was just voicing the old tech support lament of "why do they never read the sticky/rules/terms of service?"

at least this isnt as bad as, say, someone demanding a refund because the servers were down for a few hours in an online game.
