go fish quest 4 oblivion

Post » Fri Mar 21, 2014 12:10 am

Ahoy fellow oblivion fans im having some trouble w/an apparent glitch w/in the game. im a member of the thieves guild & i recently completed the optional "go fish" quest i thot it would be funny to steal the rumare slaughterfish scales from merowald (dike move i know & now im paying 4 it) just 2c if i could do it as my sneak skill is almost 70 (im level 17) so i rarely get caught pickpocketing i didnt get caught so im stuck w/the scales since i unwittingly saved the game w/out autosave. thing is the scales still count as a quest item & cannot be removed no matter what i try! ive tried dropping them, despositing them sumwhere, selling them, eating them, putting them back on his person, getting more scales so it would overide the stolen mark (simply counts as a seperate quest item cant get rid of those either btw) & even getting arrested & sneaking out but when i leave the prison the scales are back in my inventory! nothing has worked so far! :( do any of u know how do get rid of stolen quest items? frankly its just kind of annoying & im trying 2 roleplay here what kind of thief walks around w/stupid fish sclales all the time?! i have the ps3 version of oblivion idk if that is relevant or not? any help on how to resolve this matter would be very much appreciated thank u!

Firstly wrong forum section (this is eld. Scrolls online...)
But, you're basically scr..ed.
You can't get rid of the 'used' questitems that you accidently get into your inventory on the ps3 (no console commands...) - been there myself..
Sorry

The same problem exists with used quest items that you reacquire on the X-Box. There they stay, forever...
