Fix the first person camera. FINALLY.

Post » Sun Sep 08, 2013 1:08 am

It's shocking that such a great company is overlooking things requested for a couple of YEARS now that affect IMMERSION and anything else in the game. The first person camera height does not match the third person height. Fixes work but they make your hands appear lower than usual, or higher than usual depending on race.

Why is such a small, SIMPLE (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) thing to fix not been done yet?! It literally takes a copy and paste for a fix (however like I mentioned, the first person view gets kinda messed up) so how come can some bethesda programmer can't fix this? This is actually pretty disgusting considering this can mean alot to people who are trying to roleplay...

What's that? Role playing in a role playing game? NO WAY.

Fix it. Please.

I agree that the camera is bad. Cannot zoom into my character. :(

You can't zoom into your character in First Person. You can zoom in or out of First Person view (with the mouse scroll wheel)

Now, if you want to zoom into your character, or fly the camera around your character to take a screen shot for instance, then you can press and hold the F key and fly the camera around with the mouse. Not sure how you would do this on the consoles. BTW, TVM in the console allows you to fly the camera around while playing the game. Great for recording videos.

Has bethesda even noticed this issue? Disgusting.

Disgusting is a rather harsh word for this issue. It would be more appropriate if the bug is game-breaking and it was stated that they had no intention to fix.

I failed to see how this would affect other aspects of playing experience other than immersion-breaking, though.

I guess our best bet for now is using our imagination to ignore the issue.

They seem to be ignoring it to the same extent they are ignoring the lip-sync bug. One immersion-breaking bug is bad but tolerable. But with each new unresolved one, it gets worse and worse.
