The only way this lag is going to stop is if they 1. Use Servers or 2. You get a less **** internet connection, or stop watching youtube and netflix while you're gaming. That's the only ways it's going to get fixed. A patch isn't going to fix your internet connection, and it never will.

Try doing a ping test on google.com, and watch as it pings away. And then watch for about 5 -10 sec how you just stop pinging for no reason and then it picks back up again. That's why there is LAG, dont believe me TRY IT!

I opened up all the ports I possibly could for this game, and it runs perfectly, once in awhile I'll get dropped, but thats only because COX is a piece of **** when it comes to internet service.

There's more more shooters on the horizon like gears 3( dedicated servers), brink, rage etc and of course bf3 in nov.
people on other forums are abandoning it, talk of game is dead, no one cares anymore and are already discussing next game.

Honestly, as time passes and after a few major dissapointments i had with recent FPS i am starting to believe that they do work hard alright... to sell sell sell... sell something that in the end isnt quite what we thought we were boughting - A WORKING FPS GAME!

your the moron, the lag affects different people differently, some have it worse than others. Before u state its cause ppl have rubbbish connections etc, theres ppl on other forums with 100mb connection with sub 20ms ping, and still having issues. there are issues with the lag, and the net code ie ppl being chosen as host from 5000 miles away thus meaning games lag further.

u have no idea what u are talking about clearly, just because a gme is p2p, doesnt mean the net code has to be awful and there has to be serious lag. mw2 has virtually no issues, and my brother has worse connection than me, but has never had anything like the lag issues experienced on this game. halo is p2p, but doesnt have horrendous lag, because its net coding is well done.

so before u go around criticising others, make sure u have idea of what u talking about.

Nobody's forcing you to keep the game. The lag might be fixed son but it might not. We'll just have to see.

I havent played this game for atleast 2 weeks the online connections are horrible, great game though just a shame of all the bugs,glitches and lag

No i love the game its just that my connection on all other games that have p2p are better but this game has major server issues that need to be rendered.

Yeah the connection is worse than Black Ops. I was hoping for dedicated servers with EA. P2P hosting is getting old. The host always has that millisecond advantage. It was noticeable even in MW2. I had such high hopes for this game because I am sick of COD. I've spent almost 4 years prestiging. Even people I know with top dollar turbo cable internet are experiencing lag. I opted to get sealed copy of game from EA to get refund. I hope they can make this game play better. I will be coming back and play it again in about 6 months or so.

p2p is just a cheaper way opposed to buying servers for different regions. PLEASE **** tell me what's "broken" about the p2p. FACT is it ain't broken but just inferior compared to having servers.

its broken in that compared to ANY other game with p2p, same connection and all, this **** lags an ungodly amount.

of phucking course it is inferior to having dedi's, but it's also inferior to every other p2p mp game out there. which makes the "net code" obviously very poorly optimized.

i think the difference with this game on p2p is the amount of information or bandwidth that is needed for everything thats going on, stealth, armour,air stops,kill streaks, dont really know a huge amount about band width but im sure servers can only provide a certain amount and i think theres to much going on including graphics and gameplay.

Dedicated servers would definitely fix most of these problems and they might even have to provide them if they find its the only way to remedy the problems, they cannot simply leave the game unplayable there would be up roar

all the armor, energy bar rechagre, stelath drain, ALL of that is just numbers. just like player health and gun damage, all just numbers subtracting from other numbers. computed in fractions of a seconds. the drain here is poorly optimized code.

True that. My cousin who has a faster cable internet has only hosted once. I have a slower DSL connection and have hosted many more times than him. I played XBOX beta and PS3. There was lag in the beta. The full retail version has the same lag. This should have been fixed prior to release even if they had to push game back 6 months. This game has the worst P2P hosting I have played to date.

This is getting totally insane. I am playing with so many people now and they are all getting kicked, dc'd, lagg...The servers are freaking out. And this is not a internet related problem from me.

It's impossible to play modes like Extraction, looking at the fact that already no one plays those modes cause the lvl requirement is to high. But now it's ttally impossible cause every round is just looks for a new host and it stops looking en stops, this ishappening over and over.

Crytek, please fix the f*king main issues, cause if this continues im going to quit this crap. A game like this should nog have these issues. It's not just a cheap COD who patched the game up later, we want quality when we buy it...and not after 3 months.

Funny, today i had the best matches ever. No lag, except from some framerate drops when too many things were happening at once.

I am also being kicked from every game I try to join. I have not had any issues in the past.

Is there a new patch out or something? Maybe that auto updater glitch kicked in for me.

yeah...i just bought my Crysis 2 on the same date that this happen...yes i noe im a newbie and a noob but then again...im facing 2 problems...thats pissing me off..one is that im having very very very lag connection in game and 2nd..i had to spam the game juz to find a room..i recently cant find any room easily and it juz ends up creating my own room...im so piss off...do tell me if u guys r also facing the same problem of one of the 2 above and someone please tell me y cant i find a room easily and i had to spam it
