Fix the wolves.

Bethesda, if you would be so kind as to fix the wolves not howling in-game. Honestly, it breaks immersion and makes me said when they no longer do that. Especially since they still do the animation. I know this may seem minuscule, but please fix it. Thank you, love you, and God bless you. -Lion of Judah

I agree. This has been gone since... what patch 1.5 or so? maybe sooner?

I think it may have been removed on purpose. I kind of wish they would have removed the bear growling instead. Those are annoyingly loud. I liked the wolves.

This bug is actually caused by having Dawnguard installed. Something to do with how the DLC changes a wolf-related file; it was at one point speculated that Bethesda accidentally messed it up while adding the new Werewolf features. Nothing we can do to bring the howling back except for uninstalling Dawnguard, unfortunately.

It may have something to do with the addition of the Death Hounds with Dawnguard, since they make very similar noises. Perhaps the sound file was mistakenly overwritten or changed in the process, I don't know for sure. Either way they would have to re-release an updated version of the DLC on Xbox Live to fix this issue, which is very unlikely to happen, especially since they've already released the Legendary/GOY edition. There is still speculation that there will be another base game patch to fix issues like the messed up lip synching, but that probably won't happen either at this point and wouldn't help with DLC issues anyway.

Speculations are always welcome, maybe it gives beth a push releasing another patch...who knows !!!!

I am confident they will do something, i mean there is plenty of time until the end of the Year making another patch...

On the other hand they releasing "The Elder Scrolls Anthology" on September 10th for $79.99 (a very beautiful package indeed), so i don't know if they ever thinking releasing another patch after all !!!!
