Fix Xbox or Money Back. Unplayable Game online.

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2011 7:47 am

We all know the severe problems on xbox. Multiplayer is unplayable. Please fix it soon - releasing such a poor product with great potential is asking to have a studio close down. I paid $55 for an incomplete, bugged, ugly beta. I feel like I was robbed. Granted, I read the reviews and sort of knew what was coming but I didn't expect multiplayer versus to be completely unplayable with more than 3 people in a game. I just really don't understand how this got ok'd for release with Splash/Bethesda's reputation on the line.

In before the PC guys come into to laugh at console players misery, and before developer brown nosers come in telling you to A) Get better Internet B) Stop whining C) The patch is coming soon stop being impatient.

The console version of Brink and Brink in general is like meeting a pretty girl on Facebook and finding out she's a hoker and possibly a post op transixual when you finally hang out.

My $55 didn't buy me a finished game so at the very least I bought the right to whine about not having a complete game.

It's peer-to-peer. I have fine games with my friends that I know have okay internet. When I choose online with random people I expect lag because the host usually has bad internet. Only thing I can see them doing is making the game pick a better host.

Not everybody is having the issues you are having, I am sure they are looking into it and will fix what they can.

I will most certainly be taking this game back before my 7 days is up if it's not fixed by then. I'd say "they'll probably fix it in a few weeks."

But after Crytek's piece of [censored] Crysis2 never got fixed...... I just can't trust game developers. Maybe I'll repurchase the game at a later date if they fix the netcode. I really do enjoy the gameplay tho. Lets hope splash damage cares more about their customers than Crytek.... It'd be hard to do worse.

Your 55$ got you the game thats about it. Try another game type list like old school I played for 6 hours last night half of that with strangers and I had a blast with no lag. I certainly hope you would try a few solutions before just coming to complain here.

Yeah I love the gameplay. But so far I haven't played a game of all humans. Both me and 2 other friends have had the game be unplayable so far except in the campaign vs. bots. I just want them to get a patch out soon - New Vegas took 10 months to get a patch so I'm worried.

I have only played online games with all human players and haven't had one lag issue in the dozen or so hours I've put into the game. It svcks that you're having issues with lag, but everyone I've talked to so far hasn't had any issues either, and I'm usually the first to hear about it since I work for a game retailer. Speaking of which, I hope you bought it used or you can't return it within 7 days.

That's what I have every game. Every mode. Every gametype except for matches that are all bots.

Find a good host is the best advice I can give you guys. The net code is fine Its people with [censored] connections are the ones to blame. The only patched in feature would be something to boot these high ping people.

No offense intended.... But how can you still justify this argument? Has reach and blackops not proven to everyone that P2P connections can exist and be quite enjoyable? Whether you like the games or not doesn't matter. I'm talking about their connections. I can play either of those games right now, at this very moment, and have maybe 1 out of 20 games be laggy. Host selection and general network code is what makes it possible. This game needs some work.

Oh it needs a server browser and some minor work but It's far from a unplayable mess that most people make it out to be. I can play without issues so maybe thats why I don't care.

CoD is P2P and maybe I'll play one game a night that is laggy and it usually gets migrated within the first minute of the match. I don't know the difference in what they do that splash damage doesn't, but if they plan on having a semi successful game they need to deal with this fast.

I've never been so let down by a game in my life.

If you have a specific problem with your game please feel welcome to post about it in the H&S section for Brink for the platform you are using. Please include what your specific problem is and any details you might be able to supply. That is how we end up with patches to fix the problems.

We don't however allow threads just to rant. I am sorry you are having a difficult time.
