Fixing Grammar and Punctuation in Quests

Post » Sun Dec 29, 2013 7:29 pm

So, I recently uploaded a new update of one of my mods that adds a new quest. It just displays a Miscellaneous quest objective, and the quest can be repeated infinitely many times. I soon realized that I put a period at the end of the objective (the game's Vanilla objectives usually do not). As a stickler for correctness, I really want to correct this, but I'm not sure if it can be done without some sort of damage to users' saves where the user has already began/finished the quest at least once. That's my question: can I correct this without any detrimental effects in the long run? It didn't crash my game when I corrected this and loaded a save that had already completed the quest once, but I'm just not sure about saves made while the quest is running or effects in the long-run.

Sorry if this comes off as really stupid; all of this fuss over a single period! Any help is really appreciated.

1) i wouldn't see why this shouldn't take over, and

2) worst case, users won't get the change. may this be the worst thing that happens your entire life (this said by a fellow stickler :-)
