I wonder why he'd give up the (Around) 50,000 bucks a day thing....
Are people attacking him or something?
He probably doesn't like the attention, and is more of a target for stuff.
Huh, and I just made money advertising this piece of [censored] game. Just on time!
As for this schmuck, he can cry a river.
Huh, Well, With all the money he made, he can blow his nose and wipe his tears away with dollar bills so....I think he'll be fine
Success and money, life is truly terrible.
So apparently a bunch of people were hating on him for using Mario assets. I guess that's why he's taking it down? I haven't played the game, I never intended to, so I'm not too upset.
Probably best to refrain from armchair anolysis seeing as we know next to nothing about the author's life. But suddenly finding yourself with a lot of money can be pretty turbulent.
He can say what he wants. I'm sure Nintendo sent some thugs attorneys to convince him to take it down.
Go away logic.
I think the game is lazy and poorly made, but the people harassing him are going too far. Hell, one of the Kotaku folks could very well be accused of libel, publicly claiming that the developer stole, aka committed a criminal act, when he created the artstyle.
I love how he's going to take it down tomorrow and not immediately. There will probably a massive spike in downloads, securing one more drop into his fortune.
When I saw the game, I didn't understand it. It was like a bastardized helicopter game using Mario assets. Oh well.
According to the link provided, the designer is Vietnamese.
as far as I am aware, you can't just take something off the app store immediately, you have to go through a process that takes time
It could be the same situation as when some win the state lottery

There have been at least 3 incidents in Florida where lotto winners were found dead and buried in their own back yards. That is why I won't play lotto.
That's why I'm in favor of not announcing who the winners are, just that the lottery has been won. Leave it up to the winners to brag or show discretion.
