There's pretty much a 0% chance they'll do that. Your hud isn't even going to be there when it's not needed. Floating damage would ruin it.

Like in Runescape where you had a bunch of 6's and 7's floating up in red pow signs? NO

Doubt you're alone, but I am certainly not a fan of it.

With all of the attention to detail they put in their games to make it seem like you truly are in that world, floating numbers that scream out "you're playing a game" just don't fit, in my opinion.

Good God no, nothing is more distracting and immersion breaking than seeing a big '87' rise from the nasty gash I just delivered on a troll.

Don't think it really fits with the game, although I do love it in Borderlands

actually never thought about that for Skyrim.

I wouldn't want it to be always on that would svck, but it would be a pretty cool option.

Yeah.

And then we can have our character's name hover over his/her head, with their rank in the Dark Brotherhood below that.

I'll pass. They're trying to keep the screen as free of numbers and other things detracting from visuals as possible.

It fits well in other games such as Borderlands, DA, and the likes, but it'll just be plain distracting and out of place in Skyrim. :nope:

Please NO.

If this was instituted, it would NEED to have a toggle, because...well...I just wouldn't like it all that much, that's why.

Although I may not be as passionate with my opinion, I find this to be quite appropriate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkOPYHPj7Dk&NR=1

I wouldnt mind an option for it, because after this is an RPG which according to these fourms is about stats and numbers, but oh right that only when complaining about removing attributes  . In every RPG that ive played, if ive had the option to have the numbers shown(damage done/Health/Mana etc) ive always turned it on because its more accurate for me to judge.
Unlike others in this forum, i have no reason to hate the idea as an option to turn on

It looks the part in Borderlands, but it would look really weird/tacked on in Skyrim.
