The Pros and cons of a Fighterjet.

P: The fighter jet is very fast, being able to usually break the sound barrier and exceed match 1speed. In this though, it will go alittle faster than the Propellar plane. Armed with heat-seaking missles and a slick design, this plane has amazing aeorodynamics, speed, and advanced tech.

C: Although very fast, the et will occasionally have to pass and attack bombers repeatably since they fly right by them. Also, the jey is armed with a powerful cannon, but the jet musto be somewhat close to it's target or the cannon will be very unaccurate and not damage it's enemy. Also, heat-seek missles can be avoided by planes with jamming tools and swift manuevers. the closer to your target, the better your chances of hitting the target you get.

My PoV on the Jet: A very useful modern airplane. With its speed and aerodynamics, it is best fit for dogfights and strafing. escorting bombers could be a factor for the jet, but it's increased speed compared to the bomber makes uneven plays

Also, propeller planes can avoid the heat seeking missiles unless they are on fire. And when they get close to a plane that's slower than it, they can slam into it, causing massive damage to both planes.

Here are the current RP members:
icouldntthinkofaname-Alexander Evans

Jonasvault101-Castillion (Cass-tee-on) LeMarc

Elvis-Borgia Manus

Your mom=My brother-Marcus Marlowe
--------------Reserved Below--------------
Schmuty Buncis

Adam of morrowind
------------------------
So that's a total of four completed Rp members and two reserved members. So, six RP members total. It is a nice amount in my opinion.

Also, here is the people under what faction:

NCR: JonasVault101
Legion(woot): Elvis
BoS: No one.(I expected people to spam tis faction lol)
--------------------
Custom factions:

MM: Your Mom=My Brother. call me theIguy, my psn Id, if you want.

The United Wasteland Tribal Alliance; Icouldn'tthinkofaname

We currently need a member in boS. So if you wish to join, consider that faction. If you don't like that faction, you can still pick from the rest.

*It is best you do not join custom factions until the in-game factions have at least one in them. Even then, I may dissallow you to join custom faction

I think Jonas's character is Castillion, but I think the ones in the () are the pronunciation.

You can abbreviate my faction to: UWTA.

Also, I won't let anyone join the UWTA.

Lol highly unrealistic. heat is on all aircraft when in operation. The vibration and friction in and around the engine produce thermal heat, in which the propellar plane is a lock on target. once again, to avoid or survive lock-ons, you must out-manuever the missle or scramble the missle's guidance systems with a slowly charged hack within your plane's electronic systems. As for the idea of ramming into another plane when besides them, all i can say is, are you high? Lol just kdding but for real, thats higly unrealistic. i'm not saying it hasn't been performed, but it isn't something thats gonna happen all the time. Slamming your plane agains another one via your wingspan would really mess up your moveability and flying.

heres something we could add to this rp. Music!!! When approaching your enemy, you can play whatever tune you want into the radio, in which all your army listents to.

For ex, imagine having gimme shelter playing as you approach and dog fight an enemy squadron of elites.

yeah well, it does add some fun factor to the game, and it is not ENTIRELY unrealistic, I mean, they played Ride of the Valycry out loud in abrams tanks when they poured into Iraq....

But that was from one tank and the men on the outside would hear it, not the entire army.

Propellered Plane:
Pros: Has an average speed, making it good for bomber escorts. Great for loops, dives, and all around moveability. Armed with 2-4 50 cal. machine guns and unguided rockets. great for strafing ground targets and other propellar planes. Can dodge missles.

Cons: The jet is more fatser than this plane, making the jet it's prime enemy. unguided rockets mean you'll be having to accurately line up your rocket strikes. Cockpit easy to shoot at and from*P

I'm noticing a few things here.

First, bombers. These are the carpet-bomb variety of bombers. No precision munitions. Lots of defense guns. Lots of armor plate. Big target. Low maneuverability. Can be converted to drop paratroopers, etc. Vulnerable to prop and jet planes.

Second, prop planes. I would consider these the fighter-bomber types. No heavy bombs. Precision munitions only, i.e. taking out a bunker, and not the whole block around it. Medium armor. Guns calibrated for ground attack. High maneuverability. Can linger in a combat area for a long time. Pretty much the design concepts behind the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Can function as fighter protection, but not very well when still carrying munitions, and cause guns not calibrated for air combat. Pretty much, prop planes only function as a deterrent in AA combat, unless the pilots are really skilled.

Third, jet planes. These are the interceptors, the air superiority fighters, the dogfighters. AAM (Anti-Air Missiles) and AA-calibrated guns. High speed. Light armor. Medium => Low maneuverability. Limited time in the air, as jet engines are super gas guzzlers compared to prop planes. Basically, the design concepts of the Heinkel He 162 of WWII. In general, the only thing that will take out jets regularly are other jets, except for highly-skilled prop plane pilots.

So, any thoughts?

Ewok...

I know all that. i know bombers have great armor, I know fighters can carry 2-bombs. i know. The problem is, some people DON'T know and it would be very confusing to add all that. Once again, this is an rp, not the real Airforce. I'm trying to balance out ALL planes.

Ok, i'm gonna try to put the IC up. probrably in a few days... And Ewkok, I'll reread your post and try to add bits of it to each plane type's overview for the rp.

Its almost impossible to convert a bomber to a paratrooper plane. Mom, could we please have the bombs on the planes. But the prop. plane, ewok, they can knock out bombers, they can get close to it and cut it down. They can also combat other prop. planes.
