Flying Creatures (other than dragons)

Post » Wed Jan 26, 2011 9:54 pm

I never palyed Morrowind so I never got to experience the horror that is the Cliffracer.

Lets just say terror from the sky attack in flocks and beats levitation.

"... I think that flying should be reserved for dragons..." Molovak got it right there, flying would be real fun I suppose, but it would make us ignore all that randomness and fun of exploration on the ground. Also, if there were flying creatures, I am certain that most of the players would try to go after the dragons on them, which to me is unacceptable, it would be... wrong.

I don't think we will see flying creatures other than dragons but I would really like to see the return of flying machines, that would be epic.

I would like for there to be Daedra Seducers or Winged Twilights. Just any kind of beautiful winged female to appear as an enemy, I really love succubi monsters in videos games with their bat wings and scantity-clad bodies as they battle your character and try to steal his soul.

Also I would like birds too. :)

I agree there. But how about flying enemy creatures? (Even know they might not be in lore, just examples.) Like wyverns, giant birds or massive flying insects. You can't ride them, they attack you instead.

yea that would be cool maybe even a working airship like the one in bloodmoon. It would be epic to fight a dragon on a Dwemer airship.

Winged twilights. Cliff Racers...maybe, if theyre rare and significantly less annoying.

And imps, neither Winged twilights or imps relay fly they just float a fixed distance over the ground so they could fall down in holes, yes it's stupid they can keep close to the ground most of the time but have the ability to fly and at least don't take fall damage :)

No problem with ghosts, wraiths and similar just floating as they are just floating according to legend but let winged creatures fly like cliffracers.

Probably the coolest enemy I have ever fought, so nice looking you felt bad killing them and they had a very special way to fight. They could also disengage a fight and fly away.

They was missing from Overlord 2, that sort of fool would drop the coolest monster in the previous game?

Cliff Racers are gone.

What do you mean, 'gone'? They're everywhere! You must fly very high to see most of them, though. The ones nearer the ground are very hard to see, being invisible.

Was this an intended pun ;) if so, well done, if not, that was an awesome coincidence...

Before we have were-vultures, we need ordinary vultures, it doesn't make sense this way around for vultures or any other creature, so don't get too far ahead of yourself. I do agree that normal and were-vultures would be a good addition, along with birds of prey, non-hostile birds like sparrows and some fantasy/made-up flying creatures. The sky (and sea) need to be filled up more.

Giant bats would be cool.

Yes, I love Daggerfall's giant bats, I want them in Skyrim.

But please no cliff racers.

On the border line to Morrowind there could be cliff racers, but not 20 of them at once.

Would also like to see some Cliffracers near border of Morrowind.

Yeah, or the ones from Castlevania.

Daedra Seducers are pretty much the same thing as succubi. They look similar and even their names imply that they are of a seductive nature. I really hope to see some in Skyrim because I think they would look awesome with the enhanced 3D graphics. I tend to like beautiful female monsters in general and I'm hoping to see a variety of them for Skyrim. :)

There was Mead in Bloodmoon so it probably means that there will be Mead in Skyrim - that means there could be Bees.

Oh I think bats would be cool too, especially if they appeared as enemies in caves. Imagine killing a few bats and collecting their wings to make a witchy potion. :)
