By coincedence i heard about this in Skyrim, but had not much luck finding anything about it. So can anyone provide me with lore about it.

In short, one of Clavicus Vile's subordinates rebelled and somehow dragged a piece of his realm into Tamriel.

The empire at least lost two full legions trying to launch a full blown airstrike on that thing. People tend to forget that, even if it was over hundred game sears ago.

But really, read the two novels. I found them (especially the 2nd one) really good.
