Hello everyone, i've seen older reports about this problem, so i'm just wondering if it's been resolved, because i couldn't find any solution.
I have tried validating steam cache (it finds 2 faulty files over and over again...keep replacing them), deleting ini files(ones i could find), reinstall and so far nothing works.

I know it's probably an older problem, but i've bought a retail box just a few days ago, and like i've said haven't been able to find any solution either here or steam forums.
BTW i have windows xp so run as administrator tip doesnt work either.

What do you mean by doesnt appear to be installed? Does the game run? Explain in as much detail as you can.
I assume the game doesnt run. What 2 files are failing to verify? Check the gamevalidation.log in your steam directory.

When you reinstalled did you completely delete the fallout new vegas directory and the folder that holds your saves?

Is there an error message or anything?
