FO3 GOTY Freeze

Post » Thu Jan 27, 2011 6:04 am

The issue at hand is that right after the birth after you choose what you look like when it goes white and you appear in your playpen RIGHT when the HUD appears the game freezes but the music continues... I have looked around and cant figure out how to fix that issue. Anyone have ideas?

Thanks in advanced,
Chomie

Read the post below this entitled "Fix for freezing (try it) Windows 7 / Quad Core /Core i"

The post is pretty self-explanatory about a possible fix for your problem. Since you did not mention any of your system specs or OS, thats the best I can do at the moment.
If you have a newer computer that has multiple cores, that should fix the problem of the game freezing.

Hope it helps you play this awesome game.

I take it you're using windows 7?

what I did was place the d3d9.dll in my FO3 data folder and then followed the steps from this http://www.sevenforums.com/gaming/20199-fallout-3-windows-7-w-quad-core.html

hope it works

XP you say, hmmm XP always ran everything for me like a charm, can't be much help sorry

I don't really understand what the .dll things are all I know is I got it from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3d9

These two afaik are the most successful fixes

give them both a go (the article and the link above) and see if that does it. I was having the same troubles but when I did those things everything was fine
