Hey. I've recently gotten a new computer, and a good one I may add (or so I hope). Fallout 3 has always been a favorite, so I just bought it tonight. Played for roughly a couple hours, and had zero troubles, up until recently. I go to look around quickly, and I crash instantly. At first, I didn't understand what happened, thought it may have just been a slight hiccup and thought nothing of it. I open task manager, and closed FO3 manually. Restart it, and things seem well for a few more minutes, then it does it again. Frustrated and equally curious, I try and test out what is happening. I'm on the recommended settings the game issued, by the way (High Quality settings). I take my mouse, and move it rapidly. Instantly I freeze. So, for the last hour I was playing, I was particularly cautious with turn around quickly. I enter Vault 92, and crash almost as soon as it loads. I turn down the settings to Low, to see if that helps. It does, for the most part. But when I go down into the water, I crash. Now, I played on Fallout: New Vegas on the recommended settings, and throughout my entire time playing, I had not one single problem. And, I am playing through steam.
Now I've given up playing until I find a reason for this. As you can tell, I'm very frustrated by this. I just want to play a game I thought wasn't very intensive on my computer, but apparently I was wrong. Anyway, here are my computers specs.
