FO3 help please!

Post » Fri Nov 30, 2012 7:22 pm

Hey guys my friend gave me FO3 collectors edition a while ago and i have all the dlc. I have watched a couple of videos of people playing it and it looks like a lotta fun. The only problem is i svck at the game lol. I have gotten outta the city (or whatever its called) and i decided to not blow it up (because i heard the game is very hard if you do blow it up). I have quite a few quests to do now but there all extremely hard! I have about 3 and all of them have very tough enemies. Theres one guy who has like this laser pulse gun and another guy who is fully coated in armor and runs at me with some melee weapon and his buddy has a gautling gun (epic lol). I can't seem to enjoy the game mostly because i die often and i run out of ammo constantly. Do you recommend restarting the game from the begining or just play through it. If you think i should just continue which would be my most favourable opition what do u suggest doing? Any good walkthroughs i could watch? Maybe a place to buy ammo? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Had to correct begging to begining it was bothering me ^_^ haha.

Rivet City has a nice guns and ammo shop if you want to buy some ammo.
I believe if you have spoken with sheriff Simms a bit a map marker for Rivet City will have been added to your map.

If you want an edge combat wise you could try doing Operation Anchorage. At the end of that addon you'll get a chinese stealth suit that will pretty much make you invisible while sneaking.
It's probably the most overpowered piece of equipment in the game.

This

If the game is a bit hard for you, you can turn down the difficulty at any time in the pause menu. It doesn't affect achievements/trophies if you are into that kind of stuff. I would also suggest doing the quest for Moira Brown (the annoying shopkeeper in Megaton). Her quest is designed for beginners to ease into the game a bit. It also takes you to lots of new locations where you can get better loot.

That was helpful. Not.

OP, if you are having trouble, I too would suggest dialing down the difficulty until you get a better feel for the game and the combat. But early on, I found it best to just take your time going after targets or going into new areas. And frankly, one of the best tactics is RUN AWAY! It's saved me a bunch. :)

He said that in response to the poll, not the topic question.
