Does playing Fallout Shelter affect Fallout 4 in any way? In-game unlocks maybe?

We've heard nothing of it, and I very much doubt it.

I hate when content is denied to players of a game because they don't have the particular app that's only available on certain platforms.

Yeah not a big fan of it either but a few other games have used apps, facebook games or website minigames to unlock items or quests in-game.

I wouldn't be opposed to having a small few achievement-based unlocks tied to Fallout Shelter, but they should be limited at most to crafting materials upon starting your first settlement, some small amount of caps or some off-hand dialog line about some giant Vault out in the far wastes or a Vault ruled by its Overseer via remote.


I doubt there'll be anything, though. The two games share only a universe. Canonical involvement of Fallout 4 characters in Fallout Shelter is.. unlikely.

There is a rather similar app for Dying Light that provides you with free supplies for the game. And the Dragon Age games pretty much all had minigame unlocks. Seems to be real popular with some publishers.
