Sony is releaing its VR for PS4.

is it possible to experience FO4 with a VR headset (or any other normal game) or would it have to be VR certified game to experience the experience (no pun intended)

They say you'll be able to play any ps4 game in "cinematic' mode. That means you sit in a virtual space and play the game on a floating virtual t.v. :P

Here's an article about it on polygon. http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/15/11241782/playstation-vr-cinematic-mode

I dont know, they are releasing videos of the stuff that is about to come out and it all looks very immersive. It really all depends on the controllers and how they look to solve the issues of walking around in a confined room.

Gimmick upon gimmick....My FB gets constantly blown up by Newegg shoving VR down my throat lol...The whole thing is an illusion, it's basically putting 2 phone screens in front of you and through some magic get some head movement and other movement via hand controls. Nothing really virtual to see here IMO. When I can go full SAO then I'll call it VR lol...But I guess some people with the "Take my money now attitude" just can't resist.

I know nothing about it either, but I'd like to try FO4 on it to see if it's any good.

I think VR is way too underdeveloped in its current state, people are getting excited over something that won't be affordable, mainstream, and of decent quality for another decade or two.

Too early yeah. But at current speed technology is developing I think they can nail it within 5 years easily.

And the cheaper VR systems is just that. Some form of headwear so you can put your smartphone in front of your eyes. Google's version of VR is a piece of cardboard and lenses. You can even make it yourself.

True VR will never happen until Neural Interface technology is available.

VR is already here and has been for some time.

Truthfully, the cardboard Google 3-D thing you use with a phone is my favorite so far. The first VR helmets they used in Disney for attractions and the Occulus Rift gave be a headache after ~20 minutes. They're really hard on the eyes.

The $10 cardboard thing was far less-fatiguing an worked great! They're not even uncomfortable.

For gaming, though...I'm not a fan. Visually, it's "cool"...for a while. Then you start to get a bit annoyed at constantly moving your head all over the place, a bit motion-sick from never being able to stop the camera wobble, your eyes begin to focus differently and pick out both images, and all of that becomes quite distracting. I'm sure you could train yourself to get used to it, but honestly, I don't care for it. I'd rather just relax and play
