Focus Gaming and ESO

Post » Sat Mar 08, 2014 4:31 pm

Greetings Everyone,
My name is Blkcat, founder and owner of Focus Gaming. I want to be the first to announce that Focus Gaming will be establishing an official chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online. With this chapter being supported fully we will provide players a structured leadership chain of command, organized events, full website access to all of our modules and useful utilities as well as out free to use Teamspeak. We provide dedicated support to all aspects of online gaming from oranized raiding to structured PvP and arena teams.

What is Focus Gaming?

--------------------------------------

Focus Gaming is a multi-game community that seeks and supports active online gamers who want to essentially get more out of their games. We strive to provide an environment of friendly, helpful people who work together as a team and desire to be the best! Through our leadership structure, experience, and devotion to making every chapter a success has given us the tools we need to create the greatest community experience you could find. Our successes take us from competetive PvP in Guild Wars 2, all the way to a 500+ member (15+ Raiding Groups, Top Crafters, PvP leaderboards) Free Company in Final Fantasy 14. It is my goal, that everyday, members of Focus Gaming fall in love all over again to online gaming and the games they play.

What is our plan for ESO?

------------------------------------------

Over the past few beta weekends, we have been working alot on getting familiar with the game's mechanics and combat systems, trying to judge how it will play and weighing our thoughts on its future success. We are confident that the game will give us what we are looking for and we are very excited to be apart of its upcoming. Of course, PvP will be a major focus in the ESO chapter and we will be organizing our PvP division even before the release date so that we can hit it hard and early. There has been some talk about the end-game PvE and it will be highly supported and given every bit of consideration as the PvP division will, so if that is what you are interested in than dont worry.

We are currently looking for players who have experience with being officers and leaders in gaming communities or guilds. We believe in a strong leadership core and we strive to provide that core to our members, and theres no better place to search for talented leaders than right here. If you dont have much experience and are still interested in getting involved with the community as a leader, thats not a problem at all! The key to being a good leader is the willingness to lead. Is leadership not your thing? You just want to be a member and quietly be apart of the community? Excellent, were looking for you too! We are always looking for members who are searching for a good community of great people and fun events. Just come on by the site and apply!

Events are one of our biggest focus areas in Focus Gaming. We host events ranging from in-game scavanger hunts, hide and seek to PvP competitions, dungeons races, screenshot contests and raffles. Prizes range from rare in-game items to Steam gift cards, newly released video games, game subscription credits and Focus Gaming apparel (shirts, hats, mouse pad, coffee cups, and more). As a community, we have a monthly drawing during our member meeting and give away $15 worth of Steam games.

Come by and visit us!

-----------------------------------

I invite you all to please come by our website (focusgaming.us) and see what we are about. We have recently rebuilt the website and are still in the process of moving over all the data from the old site, so please dont be alarmed if there isnt much to look at. We thank you all for taking time to read this and to visit our website. Please feel free to register if you like and join the community! I look forward to seeing you soon!

Also, "official"?

Non the less, I guess people might find this entertaining.

The name has history among the founders, so as simple as it may be it represents where we came from. We are serious, yes, but its not a job at all. We love playing games, we love having fun. If you dont, thats fine, there are probably plenty of choices out there. This is how we, at Focus Gaming, want our gaming experience to be and there are plenty of others who have this in common with us.

I will say that our ESO chapter will be much smaller than any of our other chapters, we will be focusing on quality, not quantity.

And yes I say official because we have several guilds in many other games that are no longer fully supported but still function under their own power as unofficial chapters.

Sorry, this made me laugh;

There are guilds for people who don't like games or having fun? Hehe. Good-luck with your guild though, I wish you all the luck. You seem like good people.

There are some guilds I've heard of that are very strict and where fun would be bare minimal.

@Dominulf, than why are you here? This is basically a gaming community - this forum.

Two different things. Gaming communities are basically loose knit zerg guilds.

Yeah, I totally knew this thread was going to be a gaming community advertisemant thread when I read the title.

Your posts come through very thought through and a bit cold. Much precision given to the substance but little human warmth. Probably just me but...chill out a bit :)

@Dominulf, a guild is just a part of a gaming community, not the whole thing.

I'm just itching to edit this and tidy it up a bit, but I won't, because it isn't allowed.
