How do you use your skills? We all have main skills that we focus on. It maybe two, three or more. I focus on six (Oblivion style) and only take perks on those skills. In my many travel across Skyrim I do end up leveling other skills. For instance if One Handed is a main skill and Block isn't, during my many battles I find the need to block in combat but I don't take any perks. What do other people do? Do you just focus on your main skills or do you focus on some of the minor skills you use, like maybe take one or two perks?

I always focus and Heavy Armor, One Handed, Smithing, Restoration, and Enchanting.

What? On every playthough?

I can't stay away from those skills. I'm in love with them. So much variety.

Sometimes I delve into Destruction, Archery, Sneak.

Eventually it go back to those skills.

The major skills for a given character will vary pending the character. My Warriors can focus on as little as 4, where my Assassin will focus on as many as 7.

Then there is always the skills you can't control, like Speech and Lockpicking. The later is removed by utilizing a mod that allows either bashing the lock open for a warrior or using an open spell for mages.

It depends on which kind of character im doing, though all of them do smithing. I love crafting things. One problem i have though is i always end up wanting to do everything.
