If it helps, the closed gate when I pull the levers Left 1 & Right 2, is the 4th one.
is that the one where you're in a small hallway with 2 pillars on each side, and a bandit at the lever that dies in the trap when you arrive?
if so: just take a closer look, there's keystones with the solutions behind the pillars
hope http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Folgunthur helps (folgunthur)
edit: or http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Forbidden_Legend (the quest)
If you're on PC, and all else fails, you can use the console to input tcl (toggle collision off), walk through the gate with it closed, and then re-input tcl to turn collision back on.
I just did Folgunthur on a girl this afternoon. Let me see if I've got a save game from just before the levers.
You're in luck: I have a save before she started on the levers:
All levers down == all gates down which is where you start. Now, my method for this (because I just don't always remember the lever puzzles well) is to activate the right back and left back levers first (that is, closest to the character). This opens gates 1, 3 and 4.
Then I activate both front levers, which closes gates 1 and 4.
Finally, I activate right back lever, and then left front lever - which opens all gates.
That's.... just weird. I've used that exact sequence on - um - probably 500 toons over the years I've played the game. Look, do you have a save before you ever touched a lever? Maybe on the console version it's a problem if you don't start with a virgin sequence?
UGH. But.... can you just load it, and see if that sequence works with the vanilla levers-down setting? Ack.... I don't even know if you load an old save on a console, does it screw things up? I mean, can you load an old save like that, and still keep the level 25 save so you can go forward from there?
Eesh.... the major issue here is that I have NO clue about how things work on game consoles!
Eh.... wow. I've played TES games since Arena, plus every one since. I played Skyrim at release for - maybe a year. And I've played it off and on since, in between WoW, Rift, and Pillars of Eternity. But right now, Skyrim is once again my game of choice.
The most amazing thing is I still get surprised. I find things I've never seen before, no matter how many girls (A LOT) I've run through the game....
