I am really impressed with the follower behaviour.
In Skyrim the followers were just standing back all the time and follow you around in a certain distance.
Here in Fallout4 the followers sometimes walk a tiny bit ahead or immediately relax or do something useful. While sneaking, most of the time we are more side by side than anything else.
Or if we meet enemies, Nick stays at the doors firing his automatic rifle, while I can sneak pretty far away without him following to circle the enemy and attack from a different angle.
They also make way more comments on the player actions.
A few suggestions:
1. make infinite ammo part of the game, so you can drop a weapon and some ammo for it into his/her inventory and he/she can use it forever.
2. do not hide the standard outfit from inventory. I figured you can assign some other outfit and then the actual one becomes visible. This is useful if you want to upgrade the armour using the ballistic weave perk (Pipers coat can be upgraded just fine but I cannot see Nicks in his inventory). Just make it so the coat cannot be scrapped and not sold or given someone else?
3. the command thing works kind of? I usually hack terminals myself, but when we went for the Courser together there was and advanced terminal and I could not get him to try, no matter what. It seems this does not work on some objects in the game for no reason.
