The patches note of the 1.9 title update is specifically states "Companions will equip better weapons and armor if given to them" yet when i give a follower a better bow he/she will still revert back to the hunting bow in combat. Why is this? The only bow i can seem to get followers to use instead of the Hunting Bow is the Supple Ancient Nord Bow. Y U NO FIX?

the bug never happened to me before 1.9 but it has since 1.9 was installed.

seriously tho, this bow glitch is infuriating

I always gave my follower a daedric bow before dawnguard then a dragonbone bow until dragonborn then a nordic carved bow. Now 1.9 has made Lydia use a hunting bow. Damn Lydia Your hunting bow svckS.

I think i know why. If you don't give the follower any arrows other than Iron Arrows they will equip any bow given to them. Give them stonger arrows and they equip the Hunting Bow. It's either a bug or a method of balancing followers. Either way i do not like it!

i will take her arrows and see what happens.
