Follower died. Feel bad?

So after playing Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim, I have to say, when my followers die I feel bad. Sometimes they die a glorious death, sometimes not, but leaving them to rot annoys me a lot. Seriously, take Skyrim for example, "Hey thanks for the help with those two dragons that attacked at the same time Uthgerd, oh you died while we were swarmed by bandits..oooo hey look steel plate armor and a key to your house! Thanks bye!" I think we need to show some love for those brave followers who have risked life and limb and maybe even sanity to help us out. Here are a few ideas:

1. We can get married now. How about funerals? Add a few more graveyards to the game maybe. In fact, lolmarriage. Remove it, and add funerals. More meaningful to me anyway.

2. Allow followers to ride horses with us, or let them ride their own horse. Im thinking of Red Dead Redemption here. Instead of riding back to town with a bandit in tow, we could put the corpse of our fallen comrade on the back of a horse and make our way to the appropriate gravesite.

3. Have an option to bury them right there in the wilderness.

4. Funeral pyres would be cool.

Anyone else think their dead followers deserve something better? I know they saved my rear a few times. The least I could do is give them a decent burial.
