so i noticed that lydia was being seen by mobs much earlier than i would like and causing me to engage unprepared. i decided to try the khajit follower assuming he had a higher base skill in sneak. i also enchanted boots and gauntlets for him with a sneak enchant. i am noticing that mobs see him much later than they would have lydia, but i am unsure if this is just my imagination, or a result of his base skill or the enchants.

so ultimately i am wondering if followers base skill levels vary depending on their race and if followers benefit from enchants... any input?
