Food combinations

Ha ha, so lately I've been drooling  as I wait for Sims 3 to come out (finally) on the PS3. It'll be out next week, and I already got my copy reserved! :D

One of the things you can do in Sims is make a meal by combining ingredients. Lately I've been doing this in Oblivion. Here's an example.

My paladin charcter, Dyan phor a'Cauz is a lover of red meat so I go like this:

ham + cheese slice + bread = ham & cheese sandwich!

Igodah Go^Pe, on the other hand, was a vegetarian She loves....

lettuce
+ 2 carrots + onion + apple = 1 big salad!

...kind of a dumb topic, I apologize. But if anybody else feels silly enough to join in, have at it!

Buffy loves breakfast at the Anvil mages guild. Turns out the secret is Angel's apple berry juice (apple + strawberry). That, plus sweet rolls and it's yummy time! :P

Silly a bit yes, fantastic idea 100% though.

Ash'khailia was a chef, and likes any combination, Venison, tater's and carrots a nice gamesman pie served with ale or juice.
Osmundas' dishes were anything cooked by someone else, so a sheperds pie with gold flecks to garnish.
Anna raw meat or burnt meat just plain meat and flesh, with gems and minerals.
Fall from Grace does not need to eat as she sustains herself with absorb spells but as a sensate anything new and exciting or just plain wierd, So clanfear claws with bonemeal and firesalt gravy.

In her journal, Buffy carries goatskin waterbags. In her game however, she makes loads of simple 'restore fatigue' potions and names them Water. Lol. She stays very well hydrated, as any good adventuress should.

Oh, she loves venison stew as well: Venison, potatoes, carrots, onions, leeks, some herbs and her secret ingredient (Tamika's wine, woohoo!).

She sometimes helps the beggers out when they're trying to cook, by sharing her kill with them. Otherwise they are stuck trying to make soup from water, onion and a rock. Lol.

Depends on the character.
One of my darker characters, Mort Flesh, Human Hearts, Brains, and Nightshade.
A not so twisted character, usually anything. Variety is the spice of life, after all.

Jericho regular meal is, fruit juice, and roasted boar or deer meat with some troll fat to get better flavor.
Tobias meal is fruit juice, and whatever type of meat he has, sprinkled with some graqes and nightshade.
Count Chocolate′s regular meal is blood and tomatoes and more tomatoes and sometimes random meat.

Don′t leave us Renee :( You must resist the demonic pull of the sims!

^ Nah! I might disapear for oh...2 or 3 weeks! Who knows. I've been missing making characters who have jobs, fall in love, get dissed, etc. But there's NO WAY I'm giving up TES for Sims in the long run!

Ok, back on topic (like there is one!)

crab meat + onion + garlic + flour + campfire = crab cakes!

I have Oblivion Juego del A?o, an although portuguese is pretty close to spanish, it took me some friggin long time to find out that 'lechuga' was actually lettuce (portuguese is 'alface', so amazingly english would be actually kinda little closer to it).

theres loads of stuff that i dont know if they r good or bad, coz the icons dont help either....

I have http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8435 mod, so some of my creativity has been a little lost.
But one of my favourite things is having Cheese Wedge (now Bruma Skyrim Cheese) with Bread, and pretending the cheese is melted, like a grilled sandwich. I like to have 'courses' as well, so I will have maybe some vege's as an entree, then some pie, lettuce and tomato as a main, and sweetrolls, some dessert pie and some wine as dessert.

The only character I had who cared about this was Robin...

Breakfast would be bread and cheese, maybe a meat.

Lunch would be Lettuce, carrots, and a fruit of some kind.

For dinner, he would like to start with an apple, then go on to bread, then a meat of the day (from all the meats, except rat...), then a sweetroll, ending the day if it was a long or eventful day with a smoke of tobacco.

Of course, at first he only ate what he could steal from other's houses... that eating pattern started when he became affluent.

From http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=862718 Page 3.

Sarrah backed away not wanting the fight to spill into the territory of the others. As the Daedra Lord drew nearer he cast a shock spell easily side stepped because it had been expected. Sarrah could not stop the involuntary picture which always popped into her mind hearing the sizzle of the spell. A venison roast sizzled on an iron grill as she and Angel diced vegetables for the stew pot into which all would go once the roast had been properly browned. Angel always provided the herbs and . SLASH. Sarrah blocked the blow with her own claymore and shouted her exultation as she struck back.

After a long trek through a stormy West Weald, or an agonizing crawl out of a dank cavern that chills my bones I prefer to warm them up with, Rumare Stew.

1 oz troll fat
1 clove garlic
1 onion
1 spoonful of flour
1 slice of ham
1 ear of corn
1 potato
1 lb of crab meat
1 bottle of Tamika (just a bit for the recipe, the rest for a nightcap)

In a skillet, render troll fat. Place slice of ham in skillet to brown. Remove and set aside. Dice garlic and onion in the mean time. Add to the skillet of hot troll fat. Cook until browning. De-glaze with a bit of Tamika, and scrap all the good bits from the bottom. Add flour while stirring and reduce to a nice rue. Set aside and drink remainder of glass of Tamika.

Prepare two quarts of boiling water.

Clean and dice potato into large chunks. Quarter the ear of corn.

Add the potato to the water. Wait about 15 minutes then add the corn. Wait another 5 minutes and add the crab meat and rue. Dice the ham slice and add that as well. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Wait... Now's a good time to finish that bottle of Tamika. Kick your boots off and relax. Life is getting good!

Remove from heat and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Once cool enough, grab a loaf of bread and ladle the stew into a bowl.

Enjoy!

Imperial Sewer Pasty

1/2 lb rat meat, diced
1 demora heart, diced
2 vials human blood
6 nightshade leaves, dried
2 garlic cloves
4 scamp skin

Brown rat meat and heart on all sides in a dutch oven.

Add human blood, garlic and nightshade, cover and simmer for 45 min.

Remove nightshade leaves (too tough to eat). Make pouches of scamp skins (muffin trays work well for this). Ladel meat and blood-broth into scamp skin pouches. Seal pouches using blood or alternately, tie off pouches with nightshade vines.

Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Roast savory pouches until golden brown.

Let cool for 5-10 min. before serving.

Hehe, awesome, the Tamriel Cook Book is out!

Camarilla is no gourmet at all, gourmand more like it. A good solid oat meal porridge (wheat+water+campfire), a thick vegetable and meat stew (random meat+carrot+potato+leek+onion), or simply just a loaf of bread and some cheese and fruits, all washed down with some good ale or cheap wine and she's happy =)
