I've had more problems with the release candidate than any of the beta versions. :( I'm now stuck in vault 87 and when the Enclave is supposed to capture me, the game doesnt progress and i'm stuck there. is there a way around this? like a script i can start? Because at the moment Fook's website is down and i cant get any of the patches...

Not sure what's up with the FOOK forum at the moment. It's been down all day =/

There were problems with some of the follower code which made transitions scripts halt. v1.1 will definitively not have that problem.

http://www.mediafire.com/?azolyd4wznm's the prescribed hotfix.

They've been down before. Probably temporary problems or who knows maybe they're uploading the latest new version of FOOK :D

From the Nexus Fook2 page:

NEWS (02/11/10):
Oh, well, looks like all our databases (including the whole site, the forums and even the wiki) has been deleted. Maybe they will come back in the following days (I'm not really hoping for it, but who knows). If not, we'll have to use a backup made a month ago, at the same time as the the old news below.

Don't worry, there's not that much valuable data lost. Sure, the forums discussions were interesting, and the 1.1 patch logs will miss some features because we can't remember everything we did in the meantime, but we are still working on patch 1.1. JustinOther, Jethead, FO3Phalanx and me are still doing our best to deliver an amazing mod.

No prob. :) If LinkesAuge doesn't start a new thread soon I will so all of the 1.0 hotfixes are still available since the FOOK forum is down, potentially indefinitely.

Drat! Banning SPAM-bots was kinda fun and it was great to have a dedicated forum for discussion, but FOOK2 v1.1 production won't be hindered. For the patch log, I guess I can "compare to" a 1.1 vs. 1.0 main file to fill in the blanks. WTF though, what happened to our forum, I wonder.

Now I have to make a BB code layout of the new menu all over again. >_<

This sounds like I lost my testing notes.

Man, that's crummy...

edit: you guys must be some goofy free host or something... people don't pay for webhosting service that bad, right?

Carp! Hopefully we'll be able to remember everything crucial. Many of the things you had listed have already been tended to, on the bright side.

I'm not sure about the hosting details of that forum. *just 'works' there*

If there is a backup from a month ago, even that would be helpful. Just won't have the changelog I was trying to keep for you... meh.

I just exchanged messages with Xporc on the Nexus and there is, evidently, a month-old backup and I know I've got all of the most recent packs so at least no resources or anything were lost. *wipes brow*

Because of the buggy-ness and apparent loss of data it seems better to just wait for the patch 1.1. To be safe.

FOOK2 v1.0 is by no means unsafe. It's actually very stable for such a large mod save a few issues which we've since resolved with hotfix plugins and/or v1.1 betas. Granted, v1.1 is almost ready, there's no reason to avoid 1.0 in the the interim.

Yeah it does. All of the lists of fixes/new additions/etc. for 1.1 hadn't yet been consolidated, but at least the progress itself was not lost and I know for sure which mods I personally merged. We should still be able to get it done in the same timeframe as previously planned. :smiley-knockonwood:

As stated, there are already a number of hotfixes that address the "gamebreaking" issues from 1.0. There are also a number of fixes for smaller iissues. I've made my own personal fixes for some of these smaller issues (eg. assault rifle ammo, revised repair lists) as well as compatibility patches (for FOOK2 - WMK - UWWUT, and FOOK2 - BLTC) that I wouldn't mind uploading if people decide to open up a hotfix/support thread while the FOOK forum is (up and) down. Right now, there are maybe 5 bugs I can think of that doesn't have hotfixes (eg. Mama Dolce Key) but have 'workaround' or are simply not that important.
