Is it foolish to think there will be more DLC?

What do you guys think? I know, it's another DLC thread, I'm sorry. I'm just bored.

Regardless, do you think it's unrealistic to expect another DLC from Skyrim.

My personal thought is no, it's not. Why?

Skyrim is Bethesda's most successful game, and with the PS4 coming out late in the year/early next year they will probably not be releasing any games on this current generation of consoles. They are going to want to make more money off of the game before the next generation arrives. On top of that, they'll probably want to just have the same amount of DLC that Fallout 3 did.

Bethesda hasn't come out and said that Dragonborn is the last DLC, so this leads me to believe it's not... simple.

While the Xbox 360's achievement point limit is 1750, Fallout 3 only had 1550. Skyrim is currently at 1550 with less content than Fallout 3, and most triple A titles, like Skyrim, have 1750 gamerscore.

Lastly, on the Bethblog, it was clearly stated that they want to support Skyrim through 2013. The only thing that comes to mind is patches and DLC, and I wouldn't see them supporting the game with only patches for a year.

Of course there will be more DLC. One of the blog posts said "And we're still not done, more to come in 2013". Something like that.

I'm more than positive about more Skyrim coming, but I'm more interested to see how the series will turn out in the next gen of consoles.

I think there will be 1 more DLC the size of Dawngaurd/Dragonborn and after that they will be done. It will be time for them to move on to another game...probably Fallout 4. skyrim came out in 2011 this is 2013...they are not going to keep releasing DLC forever.

Yup 1 more main DLC and skyrim will be finished and the GOTY edition will follow...sounds about right.

I would expect one more small one then another big actually. That would put it at 5 DLCs, like Fallout 3.

I think this is a brilliant business move though. Tey release games every couple of years, but in between them, support the previous game with dlc.

They're not exactly milking it. It's not like they are having little micro-transactions, instead full blown DLC. Which is more than what most can say.
