Arsenal beat Liverpool 1-0.

Arsenal were generally good for the win until the 94th minute when Fabregas obviously handled the ball just inside the box from a free-kick <_<

What a footballing day, we got the job done against Liverpool but I've seen more polished performances...

Man Utd drew, Chelsea lost and spuds lost. Awesome! :D

Would maybe have been good to check that BEFORE he sacrificed any chance he had of an England career. Anyway, they should just send him back to school for 2 months, I'm sure someone will take him on.

To be fair I think the chances of him ever being in an England squad are pretty much nothing.

Talking of England, actually, now that Cashley Cole is injured, who's your shout for a left back? Wayne Bridge is alright but personally I'd rather see Warnock or Baines.

Baines would be my call but Liverpool should've never let Warnock go. Who would you rather at LB, Insua or Warnock?

Cole should be back for the WC though.

I'll second Baines, I think he offers a little more with his set pieces. He'll be handy for the penalty shootout we'll inevitably end up in. I've also been pretty impressed with him when I've watched Everton this season. Cash will probably be back though...

Aberdeen 4 - 4 Celtic
Rangers 3 - 0 Hibs

Not a bad weekend. Still in with a chance of having the league over by the split, allowing us to focus on the cups and give the kids a run out in the later league games.

I reckon United will win. They're playing decent at the minute and AC aren't that good at the minute.

Gotta feel for Brizzle City. Equaliser in stoppage time AGAIN.

EDIT: Also, remember a couple of threads ago i said Leeds would mess it up...

Could've done with that Shawcross goal counting. City have overtaken us into 4th. When we stuff the mighty Unirea Urziceni on Thursday we'll be able to give our undivided attention to the game that'll decide 4th imo (unless it's a draw).

Pretty scrappy game overall, but a win is a win. Hopefully it'll be much better at OT. But hey, Beckham was a useless git for the most part, so that was a bonus to last night.

Rangers 1 - 0 St. Mirren

We've really been making tough work of the cup games so far this season, but Boyd spared us extra time with 5 minutes to go. Quarter final at home to Dundee United next up. Treble still on the cards.

Scandalous reffing at Bayern - Fiorentina. How that Tom Henning bloke is still in this competition after the Chelsea farce is one thing, but now he's done it again!

Hey, don't underestimate Unirea!

I didn't, I overestimated are ability to take chances <_<

Still a 1-0 win is hardly a bad result even if it should've been much more confortable. Babel had a good game when he came on and considering he's been okay lately I have some hope he might be regaining some form. Aqualani was annoying mediocre.

Even more important now for Rangers to win the league the next 2 seasons. With Celtic haemorrhaging money without Champions League participation, Rangers taking the slot for the next 2 seasons could put us back on a level financial footing.

Champions League is a laugh though. Should be no more than two teams from each country participating - and I'd still prefer it to be only one. It is was the Champions League, after all.

St. Johnstone vs Rangers postponed.

Game called off 45 minutes before kick off for a frozen pitch. Still, leaves us fresh and without any new suspensions or injuries for the Old Firm game.
