You all should be glad there's only a passing interest (at best) in soccer in the US. If the public really latched onto it like American Football or Baseball the teams would have all the money they'd need to scoop up the best players in the world (and you'd be left with the dregs).

And also, how do you lose a 4 against 3 counter attack. Give Lampard the ball apparently <_<

I love when tempers run high during a match. THAT'S football!

If the USA wins, I'm pretty sure all of England is going to http://www.hulu.com/watch/31511/the-simpsons-soccer-riot.

You can't buy people to play for the national teams, though. Also I'm not really sure the US teams would so quickly get as much money as some of the richer European clubs. You probably don't know how much money clubs like Manchester Utd., Barcelona, Real, Inter, Chelsea, Arsenal, Milan and the like have exactly.

They don't know either, that's for sure.

Yea I just can't get into it.I tried watching some of the opening game yesterday. There seemed to be whistles at least once per minute.I tried watching some of the US and England game today figuring hey its my country it might interest me. Sadly it did not.I suppose if I understood the game more I could watch it but to me its just too slow placed.

I assume you like Basketball or Ice Hockey, because everything else in the US is dreadful. The umpires get more TV coverage than the players. I went to see a commercial break and a sports game broke out etc.

Yeah, I laughed at the advert. I imagine they just had a few different one's done so they could cover all bases.

Quite a productive game. ^_^

I got into it when I was young so I guess understanding it helps you get into it but I can't get into American Football, that's boring to me.

Well the 10 minutes of real time I watched seemed so.

I assume you like Basketball or Ice Hockey, because everything else in the US is dreadful. The umpires get more TV coverage than the players. I went to see a commercial break and a sports game broke out etc.

Hockey would be my favorite, just look at my avatar. The NBA is just a bad league but college basketball is fun to watch.Baseball can be slow but I guess its just becuse I was brought up with it.American Football can be painful at times when the refs get to into it.
