2-0  bye bye France

Rofl, I have got to see this. Does this remind anyone of France getting whooped by Senegal back in 2002?

We need a 5 goal swing for SA to get past Mexico in the standings. So another 2 for SA and Uruguay to grab a late winner would be perfect.

Edit: Uruguay are 1-0 up!

2-0 down and a red card! Pure entertainment.

The commentator keeps saying that SA needs to score two more goals to get even with Mexico. If Uruguay scores two more, that's the same effect, right?

No, I think if that happens the number of goals by Mexico-South Africa will be tied and the team that'll go trough will be decided by a coin toss.

To win, South Africa needs either:

4-0 against France with 1-0 against Mexico

or

3-0 against France with 2-0 against Mexico

But say Uruguay makes it 4-0 and SA keeps it at 2-0, that would mean SA'll go through, right?

What I'm getting at, it's not necessarily SA that needs to score now to get them through? A goal for SA or a goal against Mexico, same thing isn't it?

EDIT: Forget what I daid, I read 3-0 instead of 4-0. So yes, I think it'd make SA qualify.

Definitely, he hit it too hard I think. A simple, placed shot would have sufficed.

Woah, another Handball by Thierry Henry not called by the ref.

If he had scored on that, it'd have been the ultimate irony.

EDIT, what just happened, CBC and Bold just lost both game feeds from South Africa! What happened over there? Alien invasion?

Any of you have the same problem?

Why would it be ironic?

EDIT: Dammit.

SA need 3 goals now to qualify.

Because it's an handball by Henry that allowed them to qualify in the first place!

And apparently Urugay and Mexico will qualify. But at least South Africa can go with their heads held high.

Poor Frenchies. But they did everything wrong and Henry came on far too late in the tourney so meh.

The best thing about this World Cup so far has to be Maradonna, what a pleasant sight to see that man go absolutely crazy every time. Messi on the other hand is looking slightly annoyed and unmotivated this match, hope he improves in the second half.

Why does everyone write it as Maradonna? Is that a cross between Maradona and Madonna? :D

It's Maradona!

Congratulations Greece. Held on for a glorious 2-0 defeat. Managed to go 90 minutes without even needing to have a shot on target. Amazing display.

Thank [censored] I don't have to watch them again.

That Samaras guy almost scored that one time, though. But overall, I agree.
