Yes, he was punished according to the rules, but I can't for the life of me understand those of you who call Suarez a hero. You want diving, to be a part of the game too?
When you win the game by breaking the rules, I call that despicable. Should the game be played trying to trick the rules, or should we aim for a game where everyone follows the rules?
Heck, why not just skip the rules then completely?
No, when you win the game by breaking the rules without it getting noticed,
that's despicable.
Instead of just conceding to the goal, Suarez extended Uruguay's lifeline for just a little bit and gave Ghana a penalty. He was punished accordingly. That they missed a penalty is hardly his fault. They still could have gotten that win rather easily, most penalties go in, you know.
EDIT: Gyan was just way too eager to score that one. Just like that guy from Uruguay that missed, which was a certainty before he had even started running. You can't run 7 meters towards the ball at a penalty, shoot as hard as you can, and expect the ball
not to go over. What a terrible penalty that was.
