Paul was 8 for 8.

That's a 1/864 chance.

Are there still any non-believers?

Ref didn't see the offsides.

This entire WC has been full of horrible officiating.

It was on sides but Iniesta should have been out of the game in the second half when he hit a Holland player in the back with his elbow. Oh well.

EDIT:
Regardless of my feelings on the game, congrats to Spain for winning their first World Cup.

Iniesta is such a little [censored]. He didn't deserve that after all the diving he did. He flopped if a Dutch player so much as brushed him. And Webb bought every bit of it. :shakehead:

And so Paul the Octopus is right - a perfect World Cup for him.

And Spain has beaten the game loss jinx.

And the Netherlands....ever the bridesmaid, never the bride.

And, what is more important, the better and more deserving team won tonight.

CONGRATULATIONS SPAIN. YOU WON AGAINST SOME VERY DIRTY PLAY, AND YOU KEPT YOUR COOL. YOU DESERVED THE VICTORY.

And now, the Netherlands team should search its soul, and find out that cynicism can only take you so far - in the end, time wounds all Heels.

Take that lesson to heart, and play better next time.

With that result, it means only one team is undefeated in this World Cup.....New Zealand :P

Just before we are done, I keep finding it funny how people on the side lines are wearing winter coats. Then I realised yes it's almost summer in Canada, that would mean it's almost winter in South Africa. Still a funny site for use above the equator to see.

Because they don't use video evidence, watching the World Cup can look more like watching Olympic diving events at times.

Not to mention the game was played at night.
