Slovakia is really showing Italy a thing or two.

Hope the one guy's knee is okay, though.

Unbelievable, 2-0.

I believe it was also a goal for Italy. You couldn't see the ball itself, but you could see that the player that kicked it out had his right leg behind the goalline and even when he kicked the ball, his leg didn't cross the line into the field again.

The last 15 minutes or so of this game has been brilliant. This could go any way right now.

[EDIT]: I also disagree with the linesman, that Italy goal wasn't offside.

[EDIT 2]: Oh my god, 3-1 Slovakia, this is great football.

The ball is pretty wide - I think that Slovakian player would have had to have been another step deeper in the goal for it to have scored. Not that the AR could have seen that from where he was; you can't even tell for sure from the video. Maybe some industrious person will edit the ball in so we can take a look at it. I think that one is going to be debated for a long time.

They showed a slow-mo with the offside line drawn in, and the Italian player was clearly off. Very excellent call. Those English refs really put on a show of how to do it right.

I feel bad for New-Zealand, they almost scored at the end... But they played really well and can be proud of what they did.

And I predict a score of Japan 2 - 1 Denmark (if the Japanese goalie is on fire like in the previous games) and Netherlands 9001 - 0 Cameroon for the next two games.

Not in the slow-mo I saw. The Italian players' head was sticking out, but the defenders' foot was too, so I reckon he was level. Still, I won't complain too much about because I think Slovakia were deserving of the win anyway.

Nothing to say. We deserve all of this. Lippi has made a lot of mistakes, not bringing with him players way better than the ones have played this cup. This team has shown good football only at the first game, then... nothing more. My hope is Lippi may leave the national team at once (quite sure it will happen). Congratulation to Slovakia and Paraguay, they reaaly deserved qualification. Now let's have fun watching for Argentina and other teams that actually know how to play football!

What the hell is going on this year? Though wouldn't call them upsets, all the "big" teams who are out have played crap... And I should be including England in that :stare: .

This World cup will be won by a South American team this time I believe, Uruguay or Argentina, hopefully.

I suppose we haven't played that well but the team has come through for us. The lads worked hard as far as i could see. I think they want it as much if not more than the fans do. 45 years of hurt you know.

I'm thinking Argentina, partly because of Messi, but mostly 'cause I got them in the sweepstake :P

And is it me, or have Youtube added a vuvuzela button?

On a serious note, I think the match will end 2 - 1. However for who I can't really tell, I'm not that much of a football freak only when its Denmark VS -inset county name - then i'll watch! :celebrate:
