Alchemy.

When you are a high level, and have the first perk (5x) plus the benefactor perk, you can make such high value potions so easy. I can go into an alchemy shop, buy all their ingredients, put on alchemy gear (enchanted) and make like at least 5 different potions worth ~1500-2000 each.

As of now I have 22 potion of invisibility (130 seconds) worth 1680, there isn't anywhere good enough to sell them though, can only sell one or two at a time.

Same thing with enchanting. Just get lots of trash weapons, fill lots of small soul gems with souls from common enemies (with the bound weapon), enchant, sell for a huge profit.

And another easy money making method is getting the "transmutate ore" spell from a cave near whiterun. Just mine the plentiful iron ore in skyrim and turn it all into gold.

I'd have to go way out of my way to struggle with money. All three crafting trees can get an insane return of money.

Um... pick up things that weigh less and are worth the most? Money is still incredibly easy to come by in Skyrim. My lifetime gold is well over 400k and it's all from exploring and quest rewards.

LMAo how do you struggle with money, in typical bethesda TES fashion way too much money and nothing to spend it on.. The economy in this game is borked as usual. You have to try and be short on money in this game.,

I like dungeon looting for that, but i will use alchemy to boost my weapons and armor, along with enchantements.

What he said, loot the guys you kill and sell the stuff, get overloaded, give some to your companion if you have one. When you are full go to the vendors. I sell everything I can that is worth selling.

Dwemer ruins keep my character pretty wealthy, I prefer earning through exploration.

Problem is the vendors have like 700 gold unless you perk speech which I don't. It gets tedious... Anyone know of the best place to sell or merchants with most gold?

Marry someone, then you have an extra vendor in your house.

It is pretty hard to not have money in the game. I currently have 22k but I've had upwards of 60k at a time. The only real thing I ever used money on was buying smithing materials and houses. I'd probably have 300k right now if I cleaned out my "storage for sale" chest in my house, that thing has so much crap in it and just keeps accumulating.

This. I'm not even trying to make money, I barely pick up most look (unless it's weight-to-value level is like at least 1 to 30), and I'm currently rolling around in like 50k and I don't have anything to spend it on.

If you are struggling with money, you probably pay to train skills alot, which can get VERY expensive, and you probably buy all of your gear instead of making/finding it.

For real. I wish there were a purge spell to get rid of items when cast on a chest. My 'for sale' chest is loaded.

I've got about 22k atm having made no particular effort at all, just selling stuff I've picked up along the way and quest rewards.

I started paying trainers lately when I got in the 80's for a few skills just because it gave me something to spend my money on. You can drop 30 thousand just for 5 levels.

Never done Alchemy or Enchanting, and I've got almost 13,000 gold. I don't see how people can be low on money.

Tip for alchemy, go from riften > whiterun > solitude buying all ingredients, and make as high value potions as possible. Use mage/lover stone aswell.
