really, wow it already performs well with 5870 crossfire. If performance improves on 5870 crossfire that would be awesome.

Yea, I'm getting decent frames with 6970's. I've been averaging 40fps dipping as low as 25-30 is areas with tons of tessellation.

Hope this improves 5770 CF performance so I can play at 1400x900 without major lag.

I'm getting solid 60fps with 2x6870s.

It only stutters when I turn off v-sync, lovely.

1680x1050 by the way.

at 1680x1050 up to downed bird and a bit further my minimum is 45FPS (except for check points which is expected) and most of the times its at 60FPS. tessellation doesn't seem to put a hit on my pc yet. maybe your at a higher res, or the profile will be mainly for the 6000 series. i have 5870 crossfire.

I hope the CAP will improve the performance in the singleplayer mode.
I've got 3 Asus EAH 5770 in Crossfire ocd to 925MHz and 1375 MHz, but only get 20-25 Fps.
In Multiplayer i've got all the time 40-50 fps. Why that?
1920x1200, everything ultra, dx11 and v-sync on, high res textures --> everything max.
The same problem with my RAM. I've got 12 GB DDR3 @ 1,5 GHz.
In singelplayer the game uses 6 GB and in Multiplayer only 4,5 GB.
With my cpu i don't have any problems, because it's a Intel Xeon x5570 @ 4,5 GHz.

those frames sound about right for your setup. most maps in multiplayer are not as demanding as the single player but some are. its a demanding but awesome looking game. yeah lets cross our fingers for the next CAP. It probably will improve if AMD says it will.

^^
Why don't you turn off VSync?
Your frames will go up almost double if you do.
And the 5000 series isn't very good with tessellation, that's probably another performance hit.

I'm playing the singleplayer mode for the fith time now.
And the Multiplayer mode works very well, so i think it's not usefull to turn off VSync.
Yeah, i know the problems with the 5000 series, but when the 7000 series is found i'm going to buy two new graphic cards.
But the biggest problem is in my opinion that the third gpu has only got a PCIe x8 lane. So it's a bit slow.
And Crysis 2 is the game which needs the most resources i have. So i think my graphic cards will be well enough until the release of the 7000s.

.

You don't need x16 for 5770's, you'll probably only start bottlenecking at that bandwidth on high end cards.

I only compared the three graphic cards on my motherboard and on my brother one's with three x16 lanes.
And there i got in 3DMARK 11 and 3DMARK Vantage better results.
But as i already said, the power is enough to play everything with max. details.
