For GUYS: M or F toon?

Post » Sat Feb 15, 2014 12:42 am

I like looking at females, but I don't enjoy playing them....so probably male for me mostly, with maybe one female toon.

But you understand someone wanting to play an orc or an elf, right? Just extrapolate that out a bit and BOOM there's your answer.

Because if I am going to be staring at someone's ass for many hours, its going to be something worth looking at.

If the game is different (gender based quests really) then I will play both genders just to have access to the quests.

Otherwise, if it's first person, then I go males, third person, well it depends on who's backside is easier to look at for the next 100 hours or so. However, the gender means nothing to me otherwise. A hero is still a hero, a warrior is still a warrior, an assassin is still an assassin, a mage is still a.......

Well for my RP, it'll be a guy, but I'll make a female to do random quests with have fun or otherwise not take the role seriously. Because for my guy I'll try to be in character almost always, which can be tiring.

Why not add a second question so women can vote too?

No need to attack others, if you choose to be a pervert by playing a female toon to look at her "ass" , its your game so enjoy.

I had endles dicussions with some of my m8's, as to why? To each his own. My friends excuse is, he rather looks at a girls posterior dimentions then that of guys. Wich is a logical explenation.

The problem with me is that i like the be my character, not in the traditional roleplaying sense. But im 1,95m in real life, and i tend to always make big beefy characters cause thats what i think is cool. Big mofo going crazy on the battlefield. You can do that with a female character, but its not the same to me.

Male only, I've never been able to get into roleplaying female characters.

I generally play males but always check out the female options during character creations. In AOC half my toons were female

I agree, let the Women Vote as well, it might even the odds, not to mention some do enjoy playing Male Characters, I've seen more than a few threads discuss this.

I usually create male characters first off.

However, it depends in the end how the races/genders actually look. For example. In my personal opinion the Male customization in TESO is dreadful. Their hair svcks, their faces svck, but I might be able to do something with it in the end. I'd much rather play as a male character. Of course, the skimpiness also comes into play when choosing a gender. TESO, much like other TES games doesn't have too much skimpiness to it. There'd be no point in creating a female character just to have the same amount of body covered up. Of course, we all know somewhere down the road a cash shop is going to come into play and effect their appearance.

I'll most likely start off as a male as a main, then make a female as an alt.

And staring at the back side of your characters? Hmm... Lot of people use that to their defense. I'm not too sure why "those" people are focused on the backside of their character so much, rather than what's in front of them. For me anyways, I pay more attention to the stuff going on around me. I'll never understand "those" people's defense.

I don't have any objection as playing as a female but I see the characters more of an exaggeration of yourself if you where there or that race......but that's my preference

I usually play male chars in single player games for the eye candy, but do female in MMOs when it's mostly my personality coming through. Will probably have a male RP char for the first time though.

I understand the idea of wanting to be your character, and thats all fine and dandy. For me, I only go as far as to project my personality to the character. One reason why I pick female characters is I like to make them short and females tend to have the ability to be shorter then males in most games, so partly out of habit, I go female first.

It has nothing to do with being attracted to my pixelated diva. No no, Im not that weird. I just want my character to look nice, and the softer look of female characters is more appealing. When I do my bit of RP, I rarely if ever take gender into consideration, so I will never do anything sixual in nature or something only a female would do.

I'm not sure how valid this is as an excuse, since we can play in first person mode.

I play both. The character is the character, not me.

It also depends on the gear available. I gravitate towards caster classes, and some games have this idea that if you are a caster you must run around in pink robes with a pretty little tiara. While it is amusing to run around as a 6,5 foot tall, stocky male in a pink dress, in the long-term I'd rather just play that char as a female.

The current plan is to play a male in TESO. Please don't let me down and make me wear pink robes :(

Well, i act in a mmo like i would in real life. So im a big giant thats also friendly, but who you dont want to piss off. But i dont see it as roleplaying.

And dont get me wrong, im not saying its stupid to pick a female. Im just short sighted when it comes to that i guess. Like i dont get how the universe works, wil it end? but can it?

Altho im very open minded in almost anything, this i dont comprihend :P

I am an male from the day I was born. When I work I do male jobs. Everything I do, day and night, is masculine. I am not an macho; Being tough and macho I leave to other males. But when I'm in the virtual world I like to play a female. Sometimes people ask me if I'm a girl RL, and than I surprise them with an honest answer. I am not a girl and ave no plans to become one or dress up like one. I only play one in games and there it stays.

I agree, there is so much more to look at than that...

I'm female and have played male characters before but it was not because I enjoyed looking at their backside.

It really depends on what my goals are in game. In games like EQ where I roleplayed my dwarven character was male. When I had no intentions of Roleplaying I played a female character for the eye candy unless the race I picked was ugly then I picked male.

TESO is the first MMO in a long time I actually care about the role play and plan on playing male characters at first. A big fat ugly as hell Orc and a slim tall ugly Argonial are going to be my first 2 characters. Later ill probably pick a female race for my casual relaxing play but that wont come for awhile. I am actually excited to play my first hideous looking characters.
