For Morrowind players and those that understand Dunmer Lore

Simply as I put it.

What armor combination do you think most befits a Dunmer? Take their culture into account.

What feels the most dunmer-y?

Ebony, I think. It looks very Elvish, and considering most Ebony comes from Morrowind (at least until Red Mountain blew its top).

I'd love to see Bonemold or Indoril/Ordinator armor make a return in some form in a DLC or mod.

Idk I don't really feel the Ebony look on my Dunmer. IMO helmet-less Falmer armor seems the most fitting then maybe a helmet-less Dragonplate set.

Seems mer-ish but not Dunmer-ish.

Cool look though I'll admit.

As an Oblivion player i can't help you with that :P

I also said if you understand the Dunmer culture lol. Not trying to be elitist as a Morrowind player. I actually beat Oblivion first.

Ideas or any outlandish combinations that equaled success?

Glass and Ebony.

In Morrowind Glass WAS ebony, just a warped version of it. I am not sure how the current changes to Glass Armor lore will affect its place in Morrowind.

I've got no way of testing this, as my character is not a sinful Dunmer(Chimer).
My guess is that Dunmer would look spectacular with a set of Nightingale armor, without the helmet, of course.

Another guess could be some combination of Ebony, Daedric (the pieces that aren't as 'spiky'). And maybe dragon scale armor, again without helm, as it looks largely foolish.

Well, a lot of the early level Morrowind armor was basically made of bug carapaces (Chitin) or some sort of bones (Bonemold). The Falmer or Dragon armor might suit that look. The fur, hide and Forsworn armors also have a similar feel to... well, the fur and hide stuff that wasn't to uncommon among the Ashlanders, although Skyrims versions seem to be a lot more revealing.

Curiass of Savior's Hide is always a good bet too, I think.

I wonder why no one has said Daedric..

Dunmer made ebony, so technically we made the base for Daedric.

What about leather? Wasn't Netch leather very popular in Morrowind? It would fit in with both Elven and glass armors as sort of a light armor trio for the Bosmer, Dunmer and Altmer.

The fur, hide, and scale armors are more in line with the human styles for light armor anyway.

My real question is what sort of armor makes sense for the lizard men and cat people?

Netch and bonemold armors have a very distinct look to them. Regular leather and dragonbone armor are similar in name only.

I can remember only one NPC in Morrowind wearing daedric armor. He was an outler in more ways than one.

Dunno but if we're talking about Morrowind classic.

These are the two I remember the most from the game that stand out.

You mean it'd fit with the Bosmer..right? Leather isn't Netch leather. And it's make more sense as Bosmer - Leather. Altmer - Elven. and Dunmer - Glass.

I thought that at first myself, but after walking around Skyrim, I'm seeing a trend in Dunmer NPC's wearing leather. Whiterun's Jarl and the hireable elf in the hunting shop, etc.

It would fit Altmers and Bosmers better IMO , Dunmers were keen on glass armours in Morrowind and as someone said above , Ebony comes from Dvardenfell , it's extracted from the lava of the volcanic Red mountain

I think simply Daedric looks the most dunmer of all the armors.

i think dwarven plate looks like a really shiney ordinator armor, or maybe bonemold, and from behind the mohawk on the dwarven helmet looks like the ordinator helmet

Of course there were Royal Guard and Her Hands armors as well as Ebony armors but you do not see to many Dunmer wearing Ebony armors in any game really.
