What people dont seem to understand with this game is that there are MANY ways to make your char powerful, standard difficulty is for average players ( I am not saying you are a noob for playing on adept ) or people that dont want to take full use of the resources available.
Or people that dont want to be challenged or improve their skills at a game and expect to play at a difficulty where they own everything in a 5 hr learning curve. I know most people were not born when simple games existed that required 20 hrs just to be ok at the basics.
Adept = I just want to play and dont really know or care about perks, alchemy, improving weapons/armor and enchanting. I just dabble around and do what seems fun! You have extra things like potions and scrolls but never need to use them.
Expert = I use perks I think are good but maybe not the best, and I do a good job in keeping my gear upgraded/looking for new better stuff, using enchanting to upgrade my weapons and armor...I have had to use a potion or scroll to give me an edge once or twice.
Master = I want a relative challenge if I understand the perks and how to test and min/max their use. I will always have the best gear at any time, and it will always be upgraded as high as I can. I will take full use of enchanting and Alchemy and have sets of gear devoted to raising my alchemy, smiting, and enchanting. I will watch and know my enemies and learn to time attacks and blocks. I know how to and use the console to learn how the game works so I can be the best I can be in all situations, and do not limit my effectiveness to specific situations.
Believe it or not when the devs made the game and Enchanting, and allowed you to enchant items to increase your smiting, enchanting, alchemy and mana regeneration skills...and to allowed them to stack...
This was not accidental nor an exploit. It was intended.
Could they have balanced it a bit better? Perhaps.
And please stop complaining because you want to use 1 single skill tree, example: destruction and feel you should be uber without having to use enchanting or potions.
Thats like saying I want to play as a naked monk I should be just as uber as anyone else...it is the way the game is designed, deal with it.
No you cant make a rollercoaster theme park, no you can capture pets in balls, and use them in battle nor is this game made to rub your ego regardless of how unskilled and worthless you are as a gamer and make you to feel like the man.
