For People Concerned About ES:O and Lore...

Hey everyone

So considering how I see a bunch of people who are worried about how ES:O will alter/break lore and whatnot, I thought I might pose a question to you all.

Would you have preferred it if ES:O was set in an entirely different Kalpa than the TES series has been set in thus far? That way, you could right off whatever happens in that game as being irrelevant to the main series if you didn't like it. Would you have gone along with that?

The reason I ask is because comic books adopt that strategy fairly frequently. Whenever they want to do something daring and edgy, it gets set in an alternate universe initially. If the people really like it, it's not that difficult to incorporate into the canon. If they don't, well it happened on Earth #295809181859089038901 so what does it matter anyhow?

Just curious to see if the people concerned about ES:O's impact on TES lore would have been more accommodating to this approach.

Thanks

I don't really care, because it is not done by bethesda, therefore it will never be canon in my eyes

But yes that seems like an interesting idea

I think this is a great way to explain away all of zenimax's vandalisms changes to the lore. even if beth never state that ESO happened in A past Kalpa it will be my headcanon. Thanks REL, I'd been trying to think of a good, non cop-out, way to explain the lore sabotage alterations for a while
