I think it may have depended on what species the enemy was, but I'm equally surprised you recall what sound a camel makes when it dies in AoE.

i play every AoE game, i played both of them alot, so i realized its the same sound file after a while. o and your right it was twei'elk.

Everybody mocks the "skirts" the real Roman army had them too ya know? And did anybody laugh, maybe, but all who did were killed me the Legion!
Plus, ever heard of a kilt?

I am going with them my first play, only real men can wear skirts and still be bad ass.

i will probably side with N.C.R the first time, but im starting to like the Caesars more then i did before

Truely do not know, as so little is shown / known, I will now wait and see how they play out.

I for one am for the skirts, at least their not running around in banana hammocks.
Free movement and a nice breeze between the legs, good for any foot soldier.

Also I think the CL will be more straight up wth you and not stab you in the back, and the rewards look promising.

I also noticed from the pick that the rghtarm of the cape armor has a T-41b gauntlet and pauldron,
meaning we might see the T-41b coming back(wether you like it or not). Shows that they have somewhat access to PA or scraps of it.

I would be more excited to see the legion if they had Shields (Metal ones) painted like Roman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scutum_(shield), for them to use them to form human walls around settlements and close in on them. Could use them to hit people with. For Ceasers legion to have short swords or even just machetes along with the shields would be cool. Also throwing spears. That is alot more Roman then just having football outfits and calling yourself "Ceaser."

A line of Ceasers Legion with Shields out in front. They throw their spears then charge a mob of Wastelanders. While a few stay back and fire beanbags into the wastelander mob . I would also want them to have lethal weapons. In formation like that is not a smart thing to do when going up against a formidable enemy like BoS or NCR but against wastelanders and slaves it would be cool. I can picture Ceaser's Legion having alot of none lethal weapons. Wastelanders don't make good slaves when you kill them.

Anyways some of that I posted before but if Ceaser's Legion have or do anything like that, I would join them without much thought.

I can't decide between the Legion and the NCR :/

I love the Roman thing CL has going for it, but I also love the military feel the NCR give off...

BoS>NCR>Caesars Legion. Likely the NCR first though, because I doubt I'll get in league with the BoS early on in the game.

few problems here, Kilts are Irish And Scotish, Roman Army got laughed at alot, by Gaelic Barbarian, my forefathers [censored] roman women pillaged roman towns, killed roman soliders, and had marched across eroupe like A Scythe before Wheat.

Okay i have a couple of questions i'm hoping someone who knows the fallout lore can answer before i make my final decision but at the moment it looks like i'm leaning more towards CL. So...
- Does anyone know if cesears legion actually stand for something? Do they have a cause they are fighting for or something they want to accomplish or are they basically the FO3 equivalent to a big band of raiders?
- Are NCR considered the "knights in shining armour" of the game like the east coast BoS or do they also have a shady/cold hearted side?

Once i know both of these i'll probably be more sure of who i'm gonna go with but basically it will be who evers ideals i agree with more...That and who pays the best. Gotta look out for number 1

When i brought up kilts, i was pointing out that skirt like clothing isn't always, well a flat out skirt. And yes, :meh: your forefathers(and others, including some of mine) may have done all those things, but when they did it was because they had the good fortune of incompetent leaders on the part of the Romans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP7 anyone?)
