Every time after my first playthrough of Fallout 3 the very first thing I did was to run to Rivet City and get the intelligence bobblehead. In New Vegas the first thing I'd do was get the intelligence implant, of course this wasn't as important since the skill didn't have the same weight as Fallout 3. In Oblivion sometimes I would make sure I wouldn't sleep until I jumped a few more times so I could get my x5 bonus. Now I know I'm a little ocd on this, but I know I'm not alone. There is no good reason to make bobbleheads non-retroactive. Bottomline it disrupts immersion. And almost all gameplay mechanics that disrupt immersion are inherently bad.
The last time I played Oblivion I played it with the x5 mod and it was the most immersed in the game I had ever been. I did things because my character would do them, not because I was afraid of missing out of some skill bonus. If bobbleheads are retroactive, due to how it would affect gameplay, Fallout 4 will naturally become more immersive for powergamers and OCD gamers like myself. As for the casual gamer and everybody else, they won't notice at all anyway so either way it's a win. If right now bobbleheads aren't retroactive in Fallout 4, it would be easy enough to change by release. If they don't change it, hopefully the modders can fix it.
Does anybody disagree with me on this and why? Am I missing something?
