For those PC players who think C2 svcks balls.

Just dump it.

Go back to Crysis and Wars.

Nothing is going to change. DX11 is not going to do anything for this game.

Crytek svckered us all. All we can hope is that they come back to fix the problems with Wars and the Editor.

See you on the servers.

LMAO I love all you whiny biches.

There's no game of this type as good as this-- once the minor kinks get worked out.

Sure, go play a co-up puzzle game, or Team Fortress 2-- an awesome team game where individual skill barely matters. This is an amazing game better than its competitors. Every expectation people are whining about it not fulfilling they should have never had in the first place.

Edit: Never sure if foul language is allowed or not. If it lets me post it without editing it I'm gonna assume I can call it how I see it.

That's not the point; Crytek was PC dedicated from day one, and they finally gave in to the greed monster and produced the game for consoles and guess what: PC product is now ****, and the console versions are getting all the attention.

The reason we're whining is because yet another good game company has bent over to the console trend like so many others, and it shows in their execution of what they originally were focused on: PC GAMES. If you support late/non-existant patches, shotty support, connectivity issues, lack of promised/stated content, and carbon-copy products then by all means sit back and be fat, dumb and happy with the way the PC game market is right now and don't bother to ever voice your opinion to tell the game produces as a paying (or even would-be) customer that you won't stand for this and it needs to change.

If you don't bother telling the company that you don't like something they're just gunna keep doing it anyway until eventually you're just left out in the cold completely. I don't want tiny maps with only 12 people on them, I have a PC I spent good money on so I could handle 500x more than what a 360 or PS3 could handle, I want bigger maps and more players and better support because that's what I paid for with MY hard earned money, and if you can't see the reasoning for this then don't bother posting, let us use the forum for what its intended purpose is: SHARING IDEAS/OPINIONS/OBSERVATIONS.

There's not much wrong with this game, not enough to bich about imo. I love my PC and console games and this game feels sorta Killzone 3ish but for PC, I love it! Ya the game lacks the graphix options that most PC games have but I just set it on Extreme and it looks and runs great on my i7 @ 3.6Ghz and GTX 570. The only complaints I really had was the oddball "cd key already in use" that magically went away and when I hit Y to bring upt he chat window it puts a Y in there every time lol, minor gripe but annoying.

Implying Crysis 2 requires skill. It doesn't. The graphics are hardly improved and the MP gameplay is made for consoles. An average 2 year old PC shouldn't be able to play extreme. Maybe if they pushed the engine or gave us access to console commands we could push it ourselves and improve the graphics.

About the expectations... people actually expect Crytek to improve on Crysis 1. It went backwards and the gameplay is now skill-less. I blame console ****, look at every modern game. They all have so many noobish and skill-less qualities especially the easy melee craze that is going on. Console players have ruined gaming forever...

Going multiplat has nothing to do with greed. It has to do with staying in business... There's a lot more people that play consoles than PC exclusively. (I refuse to say "console gamer" and "PC gamer" any more. The narrow minded people that believe PC is elite and console svcks are the ones who like to use those terms. I like to play games, I don't care what the platform is.)

If people would stop pirating PC games and buy them, maybe PC could have more exclusive games. But the point is, there's hardly a need for exclusive games any more. No, you don't get 500x more than consoles like you said, no matter how much you pay. A good, expensive PC will make your games look better, but not anywhere near 500x. More like 50% better at most.

-DX11 will do A LOT for this game and it has been confirmed to be coming. If you're a PC gamer, a true PC gamer, then I shoulnd't have to explain to you why DX11 is a big deal. If I have to explain to you, GTFO and go play on a console, n00B.

-Crytek didn't svcker us all. We bought their game, and they will give us what we want because they are aware of what we want. They didn't have time to put PC specific features....the leak messed them up and they don't control the release date, EA does (EA controls the release date of whatever they think is going to be a big game from them). We are getting patches. One complaint is simple graphical customizations and that proves Crytek doesn't care about PC. I call ****. The command console allows you to customize EVERY SINGLE GRAPHICAL SETTING in Crysis 2, and you can figure out how just with a google search. This PROVES Crytek simply didn't have time to incorporate a complicated in game graphics menu with the adjustable settings properly set in. And if you think that it's impossible to add more in game menu graphic settings, think again, because Call of Duty black ops managed to do it, and that's a pretty pathetic game IMO.

I've heard some **** before... But "the MP gameplay is made for consoles?" That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. It's a FPS... Point and shoot. The MP is exactly as it would have been if the game had have been PC exclusive.

Lol, @ SilentPhenomed - Have you even TRIED to do anything with it? Do you realize your precious company locked out all but 40 CVARS? Do you realize that they locked out all the textures, objects, etc. Do you realize it can't be modded? Do you hear the crickets chirping when we ask for help? I feel sorry for people like you. You truly believe.
Its why they keep screwing you.

Obviously, fanboys never have tried to return open software. They find it easier to just continuously take it up the ass.

@SilentPhenomed

The "console" as you call it is actually called a "developer console". It wasn't made in a last ditch effort by Crytek to appease PC gamers by giving us access to console commands (Which wouldn't make sense considering they LOCKED DOWN ALL THE USEFUL COMMANDS), but this is just a tool that all game engines should have, because it makes game development easier for the developers.

Yeah, locking down all the CVARs so no one could use them was SO SMART, Crytek. I guess thats your idea of anti-cheat, huh?

Its going to be safe to assume that ANY major FPS game on the market that had "huge PC loyalty" or start out on PC is going to succumb to the ways of the money making machine.

To think otherwise is just plain dumb, in an ever changing market and economy companies business models / market tactics are going to change so they can make money and still keep making these games.

Bugs aside, this game imho was a step in the right direction. Yes their are plenty of bugs but overall once those bugs are addressed I think this is a great solid shooter, with a great solid, and enjoyable campaign.

So stop crying about loyalties to the PC market, and wake the hell up!

It's not console versus PC. When the next gen consoles come out I'll be right there. This is about people with good hardware (which at the moment is by definition a PC) and people with bad hardware (which at the moment can be console or PC).

So perhaps "old generation gamer" would be a better term than console gamer.

Crytek svckered us all.

No, just a bunch of you. Some of us saw this coming years ago when we first learned of the consoles suddenly becoming good enough to play Crysis 2, when Crysis 1 was said to be impossible. The warning signs were plain as day.

I decided to make this the first Crytek game I did not buy on day 1...and I was right skip it apparently. I'll pick it up when it's $30 and under.

SCREW $60 for a PC game. Complete morons who fight piracy by RAISING prices? That makes perfect sense, and I hope sales are at least 20% lower as a result, which would then negate the gains from the overcharge. Ha!
