Thanks for that update. I subscribed to the game update thread (got tired of checking it every day), but I still don't get any email notifications for some reason. Seems like the forums work about as well as the games.

So they are hopeful that the patch will be up next week? They are going to provide more details when they have them? Lets see what happens next week before we start celebrating.

I'm still going to give it at least a couple of weeks of everyone else playing it with the new patch applied before I start playing.

Probably a good idea. I may do the same (if I can hold out!). I may have to just load my game and rush my character to a doctor to see of they fixed the "incurable ant nectar addiction" bug. That's the only thing that's got me on hold from playing right now - I got sick of playing with a perpetual -2 STR penalty. Thank goodness that's the ONLY major bug I experienced, and not the corrupted save files like some people! Yikes!

gonna wait till the public tests the patch out. then im gonna do the same for any DLC.

yes, i have lost faith in bethesda and dont tell me they are not responsible because its 'not thier game'. even though they didnt make the game, they are just as responsible. seriously, would you put your name on a piece of crap? dont you think people would put part of the blame on you? you cannot put your name on something then walk away when things go to crap. they are still legally responsible. obviously the game wasnt tested properly. the 5 testers in the end credits should have been fired.

no no no, that fine. keep an eye on the ps3 forums and official ps3 forums to see how many people get the ylod. but really, let others test it out first to see if thier games are worse, the same, slightly better, or all fixed. then we guess how its gonna go for us 360 users.

If the new update fixes the game breaking DLC glitch but adds 46 new glitches that you can work around, I'll be a happy camper.

I just want to be able to play a character all the way through at least the main quest without having to start over because of corrupted saves. You can't work around that, you have to start over.

I really hope this fixes the western map area 'invisible crash wall?' for me! It's likely i may start a new game instead in case it's something i did that in some way has corrupted my save (i dont have the DLC error though).

At this point, this is how I feel as well, I would just like to play the game in the first place.

How can testing the patch with DLC not be done according to your logic? One would think that after this whole debacle, the dev team would absolutely test this patch with the DLC in place to ensure proper assimilation. One would suppose that part of the 2 month delay on the patch went to this very thing. It is not impossible for the developer of the patch to obtain the DLC for testing.

If you're looking for posts by Bethesda employees check the pinned topics or use the search bar. You won't find any that answer your question though. I've seen the same question brought up many times and the general consensus has been that it would be impossible to fix the old corrupted saves so the update will just prevent it from happening in the future. Take that how you want but there is no official answer right now.
