Did you avoid wearing your armor in public/ in front of a follower for roleplaying purposes?

For my characters who wore heavy armor, first thing I did was fully suit up in the whole set of Blades armor, plus the katana. Why would I avoid it?

In fact, wearing it in public is about the only thing that could explain the "It's you, the Hero of Kvatch!" reactions from all of the guards. Otherwise how would they know me from any other random Nord/Breton/Bosmer/Altmer (covers all of my characters) wandering around?

Tena the Small, a Bosmer, has no expertise in heavy armor and would feel it inappropriate to wear Blades regalia unless involved in activities that were connected with Blade responsibilities (which, after the main quest is over, apparently do not exist any more--unless sitting at headquarters waiting for a new emperor to appear is a responsibility). So she does not wear it. But she did take a complete set home to Maple Leaf Cottage and posed for a screenshot, as a memento, before taking it back to Cloud Ruler Temple.
