For those of you (PC users) who think mages are weak.

When the CK comes out, we'll be able to download mods that add more spells to the game. E.g.

Unlock
Levitation
...

I can't remember the rest of the previous TES spells, but you get my point. Post-CK mages will be a lot more versatile. I think this versatility makes up for any (imagined/real) shortcomings on the part of mage builds. And it's always possible (probable, actually) that we'll get new spells in DLC.

Yes, CK will cure the majority of our woes.

I hope the DLC focuses on bringing some more interesting and dynamic quests and characters to the world as well as the ability to significantly impact the world through your actions (For the 100th time guy, don't tell me to check out the College of Winterhold - I'm the Archmage!).

Sadly this issue will not be easily addressed by MODS because voice acting has never been something done well by the mod community.
